There's your problem. You approached this like an FPS.
It is more along the lines of Operation Flashpoint/Armed Assault in terms of how to play it You need to make your shots count and think somewhat tactically. And don't lone wolf.
The problem is, finding people who don't lone wolf is so hard that you are almost always stuck doing so.

That's a good point Gundato. I learned quickly that the game could not be played like a Halo-style FPS, but that it would require better use of finding cover and working cohesively with team players. There is a steep learning curve though and you die quite quickly when shot. This adds to the realism of the game, but I got so frustrated from dying in ten seconds, then waiting several minutes to play again, only to die in ten seconds once again, that I just got frustrated and gave up to make time for other games in my backlog I would rather play.
It is clear though that there is a lot of depth to the game for the players that are devoted enough to give it time.

The game is well made, but it's incredibly unforgiving, and has a huge learning curve. Also, no air vehicles really hurts it.

SOME people didn't like it because they quit on the first 15 minutes. ;)
They should try harder, play for one hour and then decide if they like it or not.

I found it $70 off becoz of Christmas sales, so yeah. I'll save OFP for another day (it's a $20 budget title that was just released, so I have some time)

Sometimes I got tired too, so it's nice to have a more of an instant action title like CoD, just to jump into the action. I'm waiting for a CoD series promo for some time now...But remember to get the goty of ofp, not the regular ed.

No, I got CoD4 for PC. It's usually 100, but since MW2 came out, it's around 45-60. Then they were selling it for $29 somewhere so I bought it. Trying i now. I'll save OFP for next year, and yes, it's the GOTY edition
