Agreed - this is an interesting bunch of games. It seems that this system may work.
If only the speed of adding games to steam was higher...
What interest me is also that the PC gaming crowd may not be as bad as some people make them out to be, there are a few fringe games been greenlit so far. Games like:

The Light
The Stanley Parable
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Dream
Routine
Octodad

Neither of these can be said to be mainstream, yet they have been pushed through with community vote

Due to the way Greenlight works, even small groups can get their games pushed through. Even if only 10% of the Steam users like a game, that is still several millions.

And Steam has opened up massively in the last few years. You get their keys about everywhere, and this has brough people from just about any direction or preference.
The IGF finalists stuck in greenlight have been pushed through by Valve, and they are offering Steam distribution agreement for all other finalists also.

Who's to say they have? :P...didnt realise that. Must check. Some of the other ones would be nice on GOG...
Found this the other day in case anyone else, like me, was really confused as to how the process works. It's making more sense now but it sounds a bit too subjective considering the way it looks from the outside.

If you like Bleed, check out Taijou. It even has a free full length beta you can download. Pure platformer/bullet hell hybrid.
