first of all. IF GOG sells cracked version of the game. They should let the customer know so.
Second, if the customer asks for support or answers. They SHOULD at least respond. I've tried to play with the game i bought over several servers created by communities who play the game. And I can't connect to any of them, i get messages such as.
"Your game version is not the same as the host's"
"you have an invalid key, please reinstall game"
I can't do any modifies such as install add-ons the gaming communities have created. And I cant install any patches at all. Seriously, i would have rather kept looking and found the same game from another place, even if it was more expensive. I regret buying from here as this service completely S**KS!
And why i'm hating this so much? because well maybe i decided i wanted to buy it for a reason. The game is old, and just like other people in the gaming community for this game, i could have downloaded a cracked version if that's what i wanted. But no I decided to buy it instead, go the legal way. And this is what i get. Great waste of money.

First of all: You don't know top notch service when you see it.
Second... why did you filter out the word sucks?
thirdly, what game did you buy? Elaborate or else you've lost all whining rights.
Empire Earth, and EEII... And yes I know both games require CD-keys. Thing is, after long periods of time I don't even get replies from the supposedly "support staff" when i send a request for multiplayer key request.
**Edit**
And i didnt filter the word, it filtered it self. ;)

A lot of the games don't actually come with a CD-key already entered, which is sometimes required for multi-player. There are a few games that you can email Support and they will email you a key that they can generate on their end. I don't know if this game is one of them, but this is the case for some of them that are sold here. Also, did you email over the weekned? They don't work weekends.

Support doesn't work on weekends, since you posted this thread today, I'm assuming you sent them an email on f̬̘r̰͚̳͋ͫ͐ͤͪ̆͂i̮͖̱̣͙̝̱ͯd̫͕̳̽͗ͨ̇ͭͅa͍ͩ̈ͬy̱̖̲̭̺̳͍.̠̰ ̜͙̠̖̖̱ͤI̼̲͔̙̲ͪ̍͂͗ͩ̎t̗͇̱̻̯ͯ͒ͣ'̠͔̫̩̭̎́͐ͥ̔ͅs̘̬͈͎̜͔ͪ̿͒̽̿̀͊ ̦̮̉ͦa͎̱̞̾̑ͫ ͖̮̪͎͂͌͊ͨ̿ṗ͖͙̖̳̅̓̂͛̀̚a͐̓̐̚i͖͆̐̌̉͂́n͈͓̤̐ͪ̒̒̉̊͊ ͍̬̇̉̑͒ĭ̝̹̥͍͕̲͖͂ͫ̐̈̈́n̯͉͇͓̺̰̳ͬ̾͋ͤ̅̒͋ ̬̑̋ͬ͂̓t̲͍̺͚̟̻͗͒͗͛ͥ̽ͩh͔̦̮̬̮̩̮̓ͥe̖͔̞͑̉ ̩̬̻͇̓̇̚a̋͊̊s̅ͫͪ͆ͮ̈ͩs̬̻̥̭͓̝ͨ́͌͑̊̉ ̰͈̞͔̻̼a͎̲͂ͨ̍ͭ̍ͭn̠͕̗͙͈ͧ̆̓ͩ̚ͅd̩͕͍̬̮̜̣̎̓ͬ̈͑ ̬̞̠̞̘͑͋̾̄͒I̼͍̙̳ ͫͪ̑̀w̑͗̉i̮̫͚̾s͔̩̖̩̺̋̓h̉̋͐͌ ̗͔͔̩͛͐͋̐ṱ̟̰̀̈̋̅̐ͅh̝̘͔̖͉̲͋ͅe͕̫̤̹̮͓͈̋y͇̽ͭ͑̇ ̱̰ͮ̄ͩ̉̈m̟ͣ͐̊á͉̞ͬ͐̔d͉̜̳̑͂͒̅ͥ͛̚ͅẹ͕̗͕͙̪̋ ̪̦͍͎̣̝̪̓̿ͣͬ̏͋i̥͙̞̖̗ͤ͂ͨ̽t̘̼̳͓̫̥̓ͅ ͍͔̟͙͑͑̑m͖̰͎̪͖ͧͭo͎͓̐͂̍ͦȑ͒̄̊̿ẻͧ̔̾̅̾ ̤͈̜̺̭̘ͦ̅̓̉͋ͅc̫̤͙ͫl̜̖̖̹̙ͫ̽ͩ̅ͤͨ̍e̺̙͔̻̺͐ͧ̐ͭ̍a̗̗̖͍̣͙ͧ͊̀̎r̲̯̦̗̰ͤ͆ ̰̲̬̞̼̬̦ͧ͋͆̓b̖̰̳̺̩u͓͓͎͕͙͋͋͂ͫt͍̰͚͚̩͒ ̄̈ͨs͙̲̝͈̻̄̃̓ͫͅi̩̦̯̯̺̗̬̒̓̎ͩ͛ͯn͆̾c̝͊ͬͭḛ͙̙̭͍ͭ ̓̉ͦ̾̇t̰̹̄ͬͤh̠̪͍̤̍̐́͑e̤̅́̈́̑̽ṇ͙̩̦̙̙̈̎ͦ̈́̍̈̚ͅọ̣̩̜̎̌̏̈́̈́h͕͒ͅ ̻̯̤̳͌ͥͨͫͭg̜̺͊̅͆ŏ͖̻͊̍ͪͩ̑̈́̓̑d̙͕̞͔͖̟̜̽ͮ̽̓ͮ̊HEC͕͕̻̭̭̘ͯ͑ͬ͆͗̋O̼͈̣̍͛̏̄ͩ̆̒M͉̞̝̻̭ͪ̊̚ͅE̬̱̗̻͕̩̖͊͆ͪS͖͉̣͕͔͓̯̰ͮ̊͋̈́
Wow what's happened to that font? Or is it just me? Strange won't let me quote it/
Anyway, I would suggest the best way to get something sorted is take a deep breath and be civil. You'll find a lot of people here happy to help, I've not brought those two games but the one's I have have worked pretty well.
I must apologize. He/She/It must be my age and have a brain the size of a penny.
Edit: Spelling errors, graw I hate that.

robotic typing.
Staff are in Europe. Probably sleeping at the moment.
There's no point to installing patches because all GOGs are pre-patched to the latest for convenience.
Support could be improved, though. I think a "live chat" option would be sweet, particularly for pertinent matters like these. I'm sure at the least they'll get more staff as the site gets more successful...hopefully at least one person in North America.
It's not a perfect service but I urge you not to let this ruin your experience. For the most part, staff are great and quite dedicated to keeping us happy.

They are very clear about the fact they sell games with the DRM removed.
You don't NEED to patch them, they've already been patched up.
I have never had any problems installing mods on a GOG game, nor can I see why it wouldn't be possible. You just have to remember to set the mod installer to the proper game directory.
GOG staff don't work over the weekend, hence your lack of a reply.
This brings up another point...they should really state on the support page they're not available weekends. I will suggest this.

That depends what you mean by "cracked". The games have had their DRM removed, with the blessing of the publishers. This is done for your convenience. I've never until now actually seen anyone complain that a game they bought had too little DRM. Well done.

From your posts in the Empire Earth forum, I gather that you sent your support tickets yesterday. On a sunday. To a European company. And here you are, ranting and raving because they haven't fixed your problem within 24 hours?

Unless something has changed recently, the forum doesn't have a filter. Testing:
shit fuck damn hell sucks asshole cunt
Successful test, no filter.
And just to echo what others have said, GOG games are clearly marked as DRM free, you can most certainly install mods on the games, support doesn't work weekends and they are based in Poland so their work day is over before your lunch time and lastly, before you go ranting about the service, make sure you know what you are talking about. GOG ain't perfect, but its a damn sight better than the alternatives.

Sucks. sucks. SuCkS. skcus.
Nope.
All games are labelled DRM-free. The vast majority of them had some form of DRM to begin with but the source code for many titles no longer exists or is not available to GOG. So one way or another it's going to be cracked.

If you're going to test it like that, better use George Carlin's original Seven Dirty Words You Can't Say On Television:
Shit, piss, fuck, cunt, cocksucker, motherfucker and tits ;-)
"Those are the heavy seven... Those are the ones that'll infect your soul... Curve your spine... And keep the country from winning the war."
