Another reason to be leery - it is being reported that on steam that Crysis 2 has solidshield/tages with 5 activation limit. The store entry did not reflect this.

Can you still save anywhere you want?

According to PCG review, no.

Lack of quicksave means exactly that. It has checkpoints only, and they're pretty spaced out.
If the hardest setting is anything like the first game's, you definitely should play on the hardest. If I remember right, enemies etc. aren't actually tougher, it just takes away the aiming reticle and is more immersive.

StingingVelvet: - Not as open as Crysis but surprisingly open... on normal the game is so easy it matters little, but for my future hardest setting playthrough I am sure the large environment will help a lot like it did in the original Crysis. You still feel like a predator hunting dudes when you use cloak mode, which is great.

KavazovAngel: Stop right there!

Don't play the game on normal. Start playing games on the hardest mode available on first run too. Just a little suggestion. :)
I certainly wouldn't recommend that for everyone. There are a few games I would tell just about anyone to play on hard though, like Bioshock. But the first Crysis was brutal on the easiest setting for me. :|

Again, it depends on the game. I tend to have more fun crushing my foes then raging about how they're always taking cheap shots on me.

However, I love games like Devil May Cry on hard and Demon's Souls... I guess I just suck at FPS'

Bioshock on hard would be annoying I would think, because the enemies respawn. Combat in that game could be annoying and frustrating at times on normal.

I think that was the case with Delta, but lower difficulties did have progressively more advanced AI. Not positive though. I found Delta challenging but nothing insane.

Frustrating? Well yea, they do respawn, it makes the city feel more alive when you backtrack. And the way they react to the environment changes it up allot. No, hard mode is the only way to play that game, because you instantly respawn after you die, and all damage dealt stays. It's far more entertaining on hard, and I beat it on all 3 difficulties.

EDIT: Another note, Bioshock 2 is SO easy that hard mode feels like normal. It's way too easy and short.

I hate respawning enemies... all I'm trying to do is get back to the store to buy more ammo and I have to fight the same 3-4 dudes again? Fuck that.

And I played with vita chambers turned off.
