gbarules2999: I bought the CD version of Beyond Good and Evil, and it has never worked once. This is my opportunity.

Yes, the retail version is a mission to get working unless you crack it, and if you do that then you need to hexedit your saved games to get past a part of the game that's rigged against cracks.
This is why I love GOG
I'm trying to gift this for someone - anyone know how to do it? All I can see is how to gift individual games.
Wow, now that's a killer deal. Already bought both from GOG myself (money very well spent), but for anyone who doesn't already have both of these games there's really no excuse to not get them given this deal.

Shorack: Have the trilogy of pop.
But it's a bitch to play since it is unable to cope with dual core and the only solution is to keep the cpu constantly stressed. :/
So it'd be nice to know whether the pop here has the same issue of running way too fast on some dual core systems.

Game ran flawlessly on my system (Core2Duo E6750), and I didn't see any topics about the game running fast in the PoP forum here, so it's probably safe to say that the GOG version doesn't have any widespread issues with dual core systems.
GOG, you read my mind. I was just thinking how I might have to get Sands of Time if a promo or something came out, and... bam, there you go.
Well... here's money. :D
I have been thinking about getting Beyond Good and Evil for quite some time now. Finally got it now. I bought Sands of Time earlier this year so I don't need it anymore but still quite good discount for Beyond Good and Evil. Thank you. Finished new Monkey Island episode last night so I can start playing this one...
I would say most of us have these games already..but for those that don't..no question. Buy it. :)
Was discussing PoP on IRC not 5 minutes before the email about the promo popped up in my inbox.
The only explanation is that GoG staff have a time machine.

Still can't gift promos, as far as I know.

Try downloading a thing called RunFirst. Google it and it will be the first result.
Then copy the exe into the same folder as your game's exe (use the Find Target in the shortcut properties if you're not sure). Then open Notepad and write:
runfirst game.exe
Replace "game" with whatever the main exe is called. Save the file as pop.bat (as an 'all files' file type) in the same directory.
Now create a shortcut to that bat file and you're set.

thank you for that :)
manually setting it to one cpu didn't solve my prob though, but i'll see.
thanks again for the effort

well I was going to buy both games at some time, but i guess now is a good as time as ever. sold.
I already own both (all 4) games as budget games.
The one grief I have with gog.com which keeps me from purchasing again is that the CD-Versions are multilanguage (so some of younger brethren can enjoy it aswell). Its an added value that I sadly miss.
But well, this is an must-buy if you dont have those games already
Bought. I qualify as not owning either and have been told / have read the games are really good. I was going to buy Giants and Sacrifice but will leave those two for next paycheck (and hey, who knows, maybe one of them will be in a promo in the next couple of weeks).
Sweet deal, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna buy them. I've never played either and have only heard great things about them.
Sold!
Thanks guys.
Damn you, GOG! And I was saving that $9.99 for a rainy day!
