Sultans of Swing was released in '78. I think it's fair to qualify it as 'classic' rock in the traditional sense (60s and 70s).

Money for Nothing was 80s.

I want to stress I DON'T care and I think a good rock song need not be confined to a decade, I'm just pointing out a small hitch in the aforementioned argument. :D
