Translated by me from Polish to English (Polish is my first language and I have been speaking English for 15+ years on a professional level). I believe this is as close as it gets considering lanuage differences (though the gramma may be a little bit off). Please note that comments in brackets should be considered as clarifications)

Tomasz Gop worked at CD Project Red for 5 years and in that time he travelled upwards on a professional ladder finishing as Senior Producer. As a man responsible for the Witcher 2 at conferences and presentations he presented himself in an excellent fashion. Full of energy and discipline he stood side by side of Adriana Chmielarza, another well recognized person responsible for creation of games in our country (Poland).

The Witcher 2 arrived and while the Xbox 360 version is in the making, Tomek (Tomasz) decided to part with the company. Our source says that he is tired and somewhat burned out. After all for the last few years he lived only on the adventures of Geralt and I am sure that other professionals employed in the industry will tell you that the virtual worlds do not necessary have the best effects on personal life. Furthermore it is somewhat hard to hide the fact that the port of Witcher 2 (presumably Xbox 360 version) is not the most fresh and highly anticipated product as the original and this means that the promotion of the said product delivers less satisfaction. Therefore our September presentation of the console version of the game (Witcher 2) during “Gamescom” will not include Tomek (Tomasz).

What’s next for Tomasz Gop? What’s next for the Witcher? Tomasz, without a doubt, will do well though quite possibly in a different place and while facing different challenges. As for Geralt, it is certainly not the end of the world, after all CD Projekt Red is full of people whose work have contributed to the success of both of the games…

Thanks a bunch!
Very sad indeed, I also noticed... how does Geralta translate to Gerald? Even in the English version our hero's name is Geralt.

I'm not trying to sink you down, as I'm curious if that's just an alternate spelling (from a polish perspective) of Geralt(a).

In Polish language you can modify someone's name in order to note that you are reffering to him/her or their property. As an example.

In english you would say:
Triss is Geralt's girlfriend.

In polish the same goes as follows:
Triss jest dziewczyna Geralta

Furthermore please note that both in Polish and English Gerald is actuallty Geralt, I believe I have made a basic mistake with the last letter and I will correct it shortly (this has now ben corrected).

Feel free to check http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0300657/ for references :)

Very informative. ^.~

I didn't mean to offend, if I had in any way. As I'd probably be lost had you not translated it in the first place. <3
Thank you for taking the time and energy to make this available to us.
Thank you Ebon-Hawk for translating that for us. Yes, I could copy and paste into google translate, but I always feel like something will not be done correctly, and I'd not know enough to see what the wrong part was.

As for Mr Gop and CDPR, I hope only the best for both of them, even if they do not walk the same road.
I hope Gop will reconsider joining back CDPR.. Without him CDPR felt different for me..
Ah sounds like he just need a long vaction. =)

Either way, its definitely not the end for cdpr.
Still wish him all the best. His presentation of the Witcher 2 sold it for me and for the Witcher as well, i only started to play the Witcher in January of this year.

Of course it's not the end of CDPR.. Wish him all the best and hope to see him again soon. Or perhaps he would be kind enough to register and chat with us all :)
Some people didn't like his style of presenting.

But nevertheless there is at least one thing that you have to give him credit for: he definitely had passion for what he did with and for the Witcher franchise.

There were some haters across Polish game sites, but you know, haters are found everywhere so let's not pay too much attention to them.

I liked his presentations too, I just love when people are passionate about things they do and they try to pass on that passion to listeners. Much respect for his work on the Witcher and for what he did for Polish gamedev industry.
