I agree that the game is kind of daunting. When I first got The Witcher EE, I stopped playing after killing the beast because I got bored. Months later I had run out of games and tried to give it another shot.

I completed the game and ended loving every minute of it. The complexity of the games work in thier favor should you stick to it.

The witcher games require that you exert yourself on the world, become engaged in it. Its not too difficult to do but it requires that you actively try. I think thats where Yahtzee failed.

Just finishing The Witcher 2, I thought it was brilliant for making me question my moral values and leaving me something to think about. I just wish the story was longer and the ending was a bit more conclusive.

Also, SpacemanCometh, he's a critic not a reviewer. All he does is say what he felt about the game and puts it in a entertaining way.

Not only do we have to take your word, that what you described actually happened, we also don't know how civil you were on their board. Colour me sceptical.

i only listened to his dragon age 2 review because i thought the game looked idiotic and wondered if he said anything about the art direction. nope. hence his opinion is invalid.

I knew Yahtzee was going to hate it, and that is not my problem with the review. I know he can't be taken as a serious critic and while often picks out the occasional insightful flaw is often so wrong it's unbelievable, and that is not my problem with the review. I know he hates on PC gamers and yet that's not the problem I had with it, hell I also own a wii and he REALLY hates that.

The problem is that I didn't do more than smirk at it and then it was over so quick. Kinda like premature ejaculation except without even the ejaculation. I loved Overlord 2, it's one of my favourite games, yet I still laughed my head off at his review of it despite him completely hating on it and despising the whole thing, and I was expecting something similar here, yet really I can't tell you any part of it in detail because it was just so 'meh' I can't recall much of anything he said. Does that mean he dislikes it so much he can't even be bothered to hate on it?

Come on Yahtzee, you can do better than that. I want to see some grotesque mutilation of the game, I want to see shit so colourful they make rainbows look dull, and if you can't then just dye some brown shit different colours and use that instead.

He wasn't saying that the meditation menu was difficult to navigate, he was wondering why he had to through the meditation menu to drink a potion instead of just having a drink potion option seperate from the meditation menu.

Interactive escapist fantasy? In an RPG? Surely not!

Yahtzee doesn't like any game he reviews especially RPGS, all that he ever mentions that he likes is the old series of thief. There was this other game he mention that he enjoy an old adventure game forgot the name. I never takes his reviews seriously and I just watched his reviews because there funny. There is only one reviewer that I take seriously and that is Angry Joe at the lest he has a scale for the games he reviews. I just finish watching Yahtzee reviews and for once I didn't find it funny, I think he just lost touch with reality with what gamers actually like. He's just nitpicking at things that are not valid. For example, complaining about the names for the signs, he's just hating for the sake of hating on the game.

I agree with him on several counts. Especially when he's discussing the attitudes of PC gamers.
