Do downloading the hard copy seems to have worked.. But now when I click on continue from the main menu I'm getting an error "save cannot be loaded because a newer copy of the game has been installed" or something like that.. Is there a work around to get my save back!? I've put 200 hours into this game.. I don't want to have to restart all of that!

Also, thank you so much for your assistance up until now!

What version of the game are you currently running? What version of the game did you save your games on that you are now trying to load?


You should have multiple checkpoints in your saves, not just one. Try older ones to see if the version is compatible. Also, people have been known to share similar savegames in situations such as yours. Try posting here and specifically describe your save state so someone with a similar save can help you.

"Continue" will load last save that mean 1.07.
If you not aplly the 1.07 patch and download game recently than you have 1.06 game.
So far i remember every save in game has a screenshot whith a version mark - load one accordingly with a game version you use.

Thats the strangr thing.. I have saves in both and my GOG Galaxy tells me that im currently running 1.07

How can I tell what its officially running and where are my save files located? Thanks!
