I've been waiting for that patch for a while now, and I stopped playing W3 just so I could take advantage of all the cool features announced where I left off. But nowadays, with all the sheanigans involving patches breaking more things that they fixed in games, I wanted to get some first impressions before I jump in. Especially considering all the trouble I went through to install the game in the first place. Don't want to do that again.

I'm having trouble getting feedback of how good the actual patch is, a lot of people seem to have problems downloading or installing it. I don't care too much about those particular problems, what I want to know is if the patch itself is any good. Is it working as intended ? Any effect on the performances ? Crashes ? Game-breaking bugs, or just new bugs ? Better or worse than 1.06 ? Or is it all good ? What are your impressions ?
They actually improved Hairworks. You have more options to custmoize it. The performance is ramped up as well. On my rather slow GPU I am able to maintain playable framerates with hairworks for everything and everyone :)

There are new sorting options. Separate tab for books. Storage. Not sure about the overall performance. I can say for certain that my FPS dropped in cities and with many enemies on the screen. It was not like this before the patch. Bare in mind I am on a laptop :P and my GPU is not the strongest out there.

The so longed for movement changes are there...and I have to admit they are bollocks in my opinion :P I stick with the old movement settings. You might like it more though.

hm. There some funny thing in patch.

I'm load my old save from the middle of game. Looks like they was changing weapons requirements because i have level 16 and both my swords, a crossbow and all armor are requires a - Lvl17. So i'm in the middle of the battle with bare hands and in fancy dress for king ceremony. :)

I've played about an hour or two, the new movement feels more sensitive but I haven't had any problems yet. Geralt will still go crazy in certain situations (like slipping in water for example, he'll do a full-speed dive completely the opposite direction of the shore). Roach feels about the same. Granted, I've only played a short amount of time, that could be why I haven't seen any big glitches yet.

Also I may be imagining things but the menus feel significantly faster. Like less time spent moving between inventory tabs, less lag when selecting items from the grid (I am using a wired 360 controller, I use the d pad in menus).

I left hairworks off, but performance for me overall is about the same as before the patch. This is with a GTX 770 2GB, a Phenom II 1100T processor (no overclock), and a 2 TB HDD on Windows 7. With all graphics on "high" except hairworks off, AA off, 1920x1080 fullscreen, most of the crappy post-processing off, HBAO+ on, and lightshafts and bloom on, I'm getting an average FPS in the 40's in the Skellige area (the lowest the framerate has gotten is the low 30's, highest was 60 in some cave areas).

No quest bugs yet, but I am about 20 cards way from a full Gwent deck. I've seen many complaints from PS4 players saying the "get all Gwent cards" trophy was broken by their 1.07 patch, so I'll find out later if that applies to the PC version's achievement.
Hey need your thoughts on this

It's the console enabler mod. Remove it and wait for an update of the mod.

No it won't. If you close the error dialog, the game quits. Leave the dialog open.

I have this issue to and Hickory is right, do not close the dialogue box and the game will play.
Performance for me has gotten better, hairworks is more manageable. But the mouse/camera acceleration is way too fast and it seems like changing the sensitivity(says right stick) has no effect. It's annoying as hell, am I the only one with this problem been searching some forums and it seems like no one has complained about this. Anybody else?

No, I have it too. Not sure how they manage to screw that up not to mention leave out mouse sensitivity from the main settings but I hope more people on the official forum have it so some employee take notice.
I'm finding some issues with patch 1.07.

There's a stutering effect in fullscreen mode that was not there before. Running in borderless window mode seems to help.

I also noticed that the world in general looked like crap compared to 1.06 and found that antialiasing was disabled for me with patch 1.07. Turning that off and back on produces no change, all edges look very jaggy.
I got some good performance increases and noticeably better/faster loading and the new movement system is a good addition. I'm on mobile hardware fyi i-7 4810mq 2.8-3.8ghz and a nvidia 870m 6gb.

I've only played 2 hours on 1.07, but I have noticed one issue when you want to compare a peice of equipment a merchant has to your equipment you can no longer pull up the mini comparison of stats. It still lets me compare equipment on my side of the barter window as well as when looking at my inventory by itself.

What does the new movement system do? I tried it for a few seconds but didn't notice any differences.

I have only played for a while but I noticed the opposite effect. What resolution are you running? 1080p here.

It could be all in my head but it seems a bit more responsive and less cumbersome. Almost like it cuts some of the animation out or speeds it up visually. It's hard to put into words
