Story:Discover a large, living landscape - the surface a world called Albia. You exist in this world only as a virtual presence, a sort of remote-control existence, which the computer portrays as a hand-shaped mouse cursor. In this world are a range of locations and strange creatures, related loosely (and with considerable poetic license) to Northern myth. Before Spore, before Black & White, before Tamagotchis blew up, there was Creatures. A game that included both genetic breeding, teaching right/wrong and skills to virtual "pets" that could then go on to teach other characters you put into their world before aging and dying!
Pets would come later, but nothing would come close to this game for at least a decade.
