Played this a lot when I was younger, the amount of missions, stories, side quests, and customization for the time, along with the simpler space travel/theme was wonderful... Luckily I still have my copy to fire up on occasion, but would love to see this return.
This game was expansive and ambitious, and more than a little janky. I was captivated as a kid by the huge world, huge variety of ship loadouts, and huge quest trees. Porting this game to GOG would mostly just clear up its current license inaccessibility. There is currently no legal way to buy a copy. But, better save management would also be a big bonus. Completing a quest line can make that quest inaccessible on later saves, slowly making the game smaller and smaller. A better way to manage that would be great!

While the mission strings (what they called the plots for each faction) could be a bit silly, with only the Auroran and Federation one's feeling really fleshed out, the game's setting, presentation, and gameplay really grabbed me. It still does grab me, even if I wish they had stuck with their original intentions with the Vell-Os.

Really enjoyed this one growing up and even in college a bit. It's now locked to an OS and hardware that doesn't exist anymore. The FOSS community has made an amazing clone of it--Endless Sky--which is great in its own right. But the original stands on its own.

Played them all and Loved this one the most good story , music and sound effect are ingrained into my brain. Had a really good modding (plug-ins) community, i was so sad when Ambrosia Software shutdown a lot of my childhood gaming memories with there games.

if we ever get this one, bundle the total conversion mods for the previous two games in the series. loved this game, i'd still play it if i could. the two big hurdles is that you need quicktime and a display that can do 256 colors :(. been with the EV series ever since it dropped as a demo with the first game. loved the moddability of the game as well.
Those games also need your vote!
Monster Hunter
Monster HunterMonster Hunter is an online action-hunting game by CAPCOM for the PlayStation 2 released on March 11th, 2004 in Japan, and September 21st, 2004 in North America. The game is a fantasy hunting simulator filled with many deadly monsters. Like actual hunting, successfully killing or capturing the monsters requires significant strategy, skill and involved resource management. While initially considered a commercial failure, Monster Hunter would go on to become one of CAPCOM's highest selling franchises. Despite featuring an offline mode, Monster Hunter was primarily an online game. The official servers were shut down on December 31, 2007 in North America and Europe, and July 1, 2011 in Japan. This means that it is now impossible to play online on official CAPCOM servers. Despite this, the game still features a small active community on private servers.

Monster Hunter Freedom
Monster Hunter FreedomThe game revolves around the player completing quests and gathering materials to upgrade their equipment in order to advance. The more rare the items and equipment, the stronger the main physical aspects of the character will be. Unlike other hack 'n' slash games, this game requires planning and skill in order to overcome large monsters instead of brute force. There are many weapons which the hunter can use to bring down the monsters, these are sword and shield, great sword, dual swords, hammer, lance, bowgun and the heavy bowgun. Each requires a variety of items to create which are acquired by completing quests, and collecting the spoils carved from monsters or found on the ground.

Zoo Tycoon: Complete Collection
Zoo Tycoon: Complete CollectionAn insidiously addictive simulation game, Zoo Tycoon allows players to create their own zoo, but not just any zoo. It's completely free-form: Start with fences for your exhibits, then pick animals and give them toys, foliage, and anything else you want. For your customers, you can lay down paths to lead them around, then add food stands, amusement rides, even maps and trash cans. Not sure what you need? The zoo advisors will tell you how to make the animals happy, and the customers themselves will tell you what they're looking for, be it snacks, more animals, or anything else. There's also a vast amount of background information on each critter--its diet, its habitat, etc.--which can be useful when you're adding a macrauchenia or a Loch Ness Monster. In all, you can choose over 100 animals, plus countless habitat and park embellishments.
