One of the earliest real-time strategy (RTS) games I can remember, this game was a forerunner of Microprose's 'Command' series of games, which featured Crusade in Europe, Decision in the Desert and Conflict in Vietnam. A single-player game where you take the role of NATO's Supreme Allied Commander in Europe (SACEUR), you control the NATO forces in West Germany resisting an attack by the Warsaw Pact in the early 1980s. The game has several scenarios and varying difficulty levels. Still, it is far from easy, as the Warsaw Pact has a large numerical superiority. There are political events that can influence the campaign, plus, if NATO can start winning the war in the air, ground support can help. It would be great to be able to play this piece of RTS history.
