Thx. :)

I am in no hurry :) and still downloading the game right now. :(

I got the tipp from NoHit to play some random games against Ki before choosing a race. I think, I will do exactly that until 2. season GOG will start. :)

Thx. I will read the stuff as soon as I can. :)

If you do decide to enter the open league, I normally check it at least once a day, so you shouldn't have to wait too long to get the team approved.
Just don't apply 5 mins before your game is due to start...
Hawk, You're my hero!!

Rodzaju: Hawk, You're my hero!!
my son was cheering for him too :/

fell asleep straight after game as well - conspiracy i say :(
sooo quick recap:

Norse - Chaos Dwarves -> 1-1.

I had pretty decent start, but after the first goal was losing players to sweltering heat and ko. Hawk's 2 hobo's got badly hurt at somepoint, but the chaos dwarf blockers resisted my might and would not get removed from the pitch.

Even my yehetee, who performed so well against Rod earlier, didnt manage to open the CD tin cans, just smack the around a bit and growl :(

On turn 12 or 13 i think, my baby woke up and started screaming like a Bloodthirster - more teeth coming i think. I managed to try milk and bunch of other things that usually mid game, but didnt seem to quite work until just after the match finished when he fell back to sleep just so. Guess the match was exciting, but too bad he was cheering for the wrong team.

....so roughly the last 1/4th of the game was somewhat extra challenging thanks to home audience. I think i could have scored 2-1 in the last turn...except the lino messed up the go for it on turn 15 and broken his neck (dead) - luckily i had the apo still left, so he has still chance to break his neck again in the next game!
And I now need 2 points (1 win or 2 draws) from my next 2 games to win the league...
:) :} :D

Now sit & watch me fail every reroll & lose both games.....
:(

"loss by act of Nuffle".

I like the sound of that :p

Anyways, i am just happy i actually managed to pull off this match in the first place. i was afraid id lose by default like what happened with Moggryms match.

The KI just kicked my butt nearly every match regardless what team I chose. :/

But I think I will give it a try with a bunch of Chaos Dwarfs. Finally. ^^"

That's normal, with a bit of exercise, you'll get the hang of it =)
I have no idea what I am doing despite reading the manual somewhat and doing the tutorial. Halp!

Any particular questions or doubts? Or do you want a practice match with one of us to give you some genral pointers?

Well, I still don't know how to keep the other guys from making a blockade around their ball carrier :/. If I try to do the same then all I get is bad rolls. On top of that, my dudes always seem to get roflstomped by the opposing team.

Which team are you playing? Some are better suited to "caging" than others.

Tried the Vampires and the Undead, I think. I kind of got a wee bit ticked at the game so I took a break to regain my composure :D.

Vampires are considered one of the weakest teams - the thrall are weak, and while the vampires are strong, they constantly ruin their own turns with bloodlust. Having lots of rerolls is a necessity.

Undead are among the strongest teams (and a personal favorite of mine). With the mummies, you should have good chances to crack an opponent's cage open, or form one on your own if you have the ball. They are very strong, have no disadvantage skills, and are just a little slow, so you need to anticipate where they might be needed. The ghouls are great runners, are quick and agile, have the Dodge skill by default, but are a bit fragile. Skeletons and/or zombies make good linesmen. If you form a cage with the Undead, then it will not be as durable as one formed by e.g. dwarves, but it doesn't need to be - your ghoul just needs to break out at the right moment.

The key to forming or cracking cages is to understand the support rules - i.e., when adjacent players will give bonuses. To form a cage, try to build a web of tackle zones, and also place your players in a way that they support each other.
All this week's matches have been played.
WE ARE NOW ON DAY 12......
