Senseless gore no thanks.

It is strange as when I grew older I play gory games, something I never did when young. It is as if I am not giving a rat's tooth about what others think anymore. I play anything I like, thank you. I bloody like my bloody games bloody or not :-)

OH, COME ON!
Yeah, I have. These days I only go for ultraviolent games. Those are real horrorshow.

Nice reference!

On topic: that depends. I like violence if it is part of the story, but not if it's the sole purpose of the game. So, hacking up demons and zombies etc. in Doom and Quake feels fitting. But Postal feels childish and somewhat repulsive.

It's an exploitation game, that's kinda the point. No different to most of the exploitation cinema.
It's not violence which I seek, but thrill of the combat, thrill of the challenge. Visceral violence may help that, but I really dislike mindless violence against helpless targets.
No, but I have lost my taste for first person shooters and walking simulators.

Same but just for walking sims. I don't really care how violent a game is, as long as its fun. The only really violent thing I play regularly these days is Doom (1994) and Warframe.

I do hope that's with brutal doom installed...

Brutal Chex or nothing.

That perfectly explains how I feel about it.

Rice Chex
Nope. Not at all. We are talking about video games - sprite collisions and make believe. Why should I care at all?

Luckily I don't suffer from any of those new age social disorders like "pacifism". I love violence, always have.
