Op is bad at explaining, Konami is abandoning the entire MGS franchise and just makes these pachinko machines instead. It's also a bit of old news.

Games like MGS3 will always be there and stay awesome, no matter what random nonsense some company does. Nah, mobile is the only 'gaming' thing they do, they are betting on success in the newly legalized gambling industry.

why not? Pachinko is big in Japan, and I dont think this would ever be put out in any other country. I do not understand why a MGS themed machine would be a problem, and I guess there are already several from before also. Would you object the same to a MGS themed pinball machine?

Many fail to understand just how huge pachinkos (and arcardes as well) are in Japan. I didn't know it until I visited the country :D

From a purely business point of view, sure they gonna make loads of money out of it. But from any other point they are crapping over Kojima's work and one of gaming's gratest series. Also after they kicked Kojima out people were joking about "what's now, they gonna make MGS pachinko machines?" and here we are.
