I don't think they posted any proof, though....so please forgive me if i'd rather read all available info and make up my own mind. ;)

Neither does the high heels that are still present. ;-)

Seeing it's from Larian, the same studio that focused the camera on boobs just as a way to give the middle finger to censorship, I would guess it was just a design/marketing thing.

SirMrFailRomp: It does if they exist in that universe. If the writers also want to say she has a magic bellybutton that means she doesn't need armour then fair enough. If not, then no it doesn't make sense.
