Sollidottingen: This is Good Ol' Games, but you are making it harder and harder to find the old games. Why? I don't care for new indie titles!
How do i see "new releases" and sort by date released now? Why remove features? Before it was easy to see if any new nostalgia titles was added.. You could even sort by different release dates...
I completely agree. GOG is not acting very clever in this regard. Probably a reflection of poor management.
Anyway, as a secret tip, use:
https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=date&tab=new That's my new landing page for GOG
Klumpen0815: GOG should have stayed in their comfortable little niche instead of trying to compete with Steam, they can't win, just lose more and more customers from their former niche.
This is far too pessimistic. If everybody would act this way ("you can't win") then nothing would ever change.
The real issue here is that they continue to make GOG worse (public profiles by default, no clear new releases page, pressing Galaxy on their customers, annoying ThroneBreaker ads) without need. This is just a sign of not being very clever, not a sign of increased competition. They make themselves rather less competitive this way.
I'm happy that they compete with Steam, if only because I'm not very satisfied with Steam, but I wish GOG would stop shooting themselves in their foot.
