Here we are. Even though I am not very active lately, time flies, and the 400 rep frontier is being crossed. Time to pay the new 100 miles giveaway toll.
No time to craft a contest of sorts. Let's do it this way. To enter the giveaway, just tell us where your closest "foreign ancestor" is from. Maybe you are yourself an immigrant. Maybe you're the 2nd generation, born or raised here from parents who came to this country around the time of your birth. Or maybe you've just got a grandma from another country, or learnt that your grandgrandfather was from some exotic place. Maybe none of this, but you know that your family tree (or the origin of its name) is from abroad. Or simply, you know the colonial story of your country, and know that you are probably a descendant of some specific ancient movement of population, or historical conquest...
So, which is the nearest branch of your family line, that adventures out of the borders of the country where your life is ?
The receiver of the $9.99 gog game of their choice will be selected random(com)ly, of course, given that "être né quelque part, pour celui qui est né, c'est toujours un hasard", as LeForestier points out...
