Cheers i'm looking forward to the wild mage, s'posed to use kind of "valley-speak" ala Buffy TVS.
I just read a 4 stars review of it on The Escapist.

In general it seems that big publications liked and don't mention previous mods, while fans say the modded version is better.

liquidsnakehpks: uh looking at the videos , it does not feel that enhanced to me as the notes say....

i mean the original + mods does get the job done, multiplayer is a curious thing though
Check out GameRanger for multiplayer.
IPAD Review :

http://ie.ign.com/articles/2012/12/13/baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition-review-ipad

TL:DR

But in its current state, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for the iPad is a tough sell. On the one hand, considering its more than 100 hours of rewarding RPG combat and story, I think I'm safe in saying that there's nothing quite like it on the App Store, but on the other, the bugs and maddening problems with item and doorway selection make it a poor substitute for either the original PC version or Overhaul's enhanced edition. Even my favorite bits from Overhaul's recent, well, overhaul exist only as downloadable content (namely, the wild mage Neera and the dour warrior Dorn Il-Kahn--available for $2.99 each), although the mediocre monk Rasaad yn Bashir comes with the core package. Still, it's a testament to the power of BioWare's early genius that the core package manages to entice after all these years, and if you're brave enough to do battle with the poor controls, you'll still find an unforgettable epic well suited to the portability of the iPad.

The Verdict

The core experience of Baldur's Gate remains as compelling as it ever was with Overhaul's new enhanced editions, and a host of minor tweaks do a decent job of updating it for a new age. Unfortunately, the iPad version suffers from terribly cumbersome and unresponsive controls for getting through doorways and looting that make the simplest tasks as challenging as any battle.
My "heureka" this was released came with an evening train - just now in fact - so kind of late post. And right now awaiting impatiently for the down-laod to complete. :-)

I am personally happy indeed of this release, though I am not sure if there was ever a promotional strategy beoynd word-of-mouth. Wihtout an informative discussion in this forum some time earlier, I would not have even known enhaned edition was in the works. And now i learned of the actual release quite by chance elsewhere.

I am not expecting really that much very fresh content, while surely do look forward to the new NPCs - so hopefully my reserved expections could be exceeded. From my perspective, if the price secures eventual BG III future release, I am all for it.

I was never able to complete a complete playthrough importing my BGI character - this has bugged me quite a bit, so I look forward to this now. Never got around to it at Windows XP-era, and now it just has not worked.

While not an iPad fan, pleased this comes out for Mac OS. I think I will buy that version as well, out of curiosity how it works.

I want to say hats off to beamdog, I sent them a refund request and about an hour later I got a refund!

Shame the game didn't work for me, but at least it's nice to know if you take a gamble, you will get a refund if disappointed. :)
