PortasAurora: I can see this as a problem, but there are a lot of people that would not pledge if they did not get something that they could put in their hands.
Sure, but a simple single collector's box at around the $100 mark should suffice, without all the craziness.

True. I would think that the boxed copy would be higher in the tiers to allow it to not be mostly about the cost of creating the boxed copy.
However, the Kickstarter that I am running has zero physical items and after seeing the success of so many projects with physical items I am wondering if we should have had a few.
What I liked about the Broken Sword video was that they had this animation of the characters blending with the real world. This way they showed more than the Obsidian video which is more like an interview. The moment when George and Nico stepped out of their roles was when I was sold. And I like the high number of updates. They really, really seem to care. I hope they get a lot of last minute money.
my first kickstarter backing with 25. cause i want the free gift of one gog game aka BS4. need to back up project eternity.
Some Q&A before the Kickstater ends.

Hm, we're almost at 750 K. It's definitely picking up again. We'll have to wait and see if we make it up to 800 K within the next 18 hours.

On Kickstarter, yes. With the Paypal pledges, thinks look better.

$751,259 and counting, if you combine both Kickstarter and Paypal.

It should be but you wouldn't receive the game then.
I thought you would then be on the $50 tier and get all the rewards associated with that tier.
760,000 passed, it may still hit 800,000

Top up means that you select one of the reward tiers but pledge more money to receive the extra item (t-shirts or USB goat). Read the FAQ:

"To give an example, if you're pledging $25 and you want to add a T-shirt then you select the $25 reward and add $30 to your original pledge. Now your total pledge amount equals $55 ($25 + $30 = $55). So it's pledge/reward level + top-ups = total."

When you make a pledge you choose your reward tier but you can enter any amount of money (it won't let you continue if the money is less than the tier). If you pledge $51 and you want to receive just the USB goat then you'd have to choose the "No reward tier". If you choose the $50 tier then you are not "topping up" your pledge at all.
