Neilk40: I thought you would then be on the $50 tier and get all the rewards associated with that tier.
EDIT: Ninja'd.

My understanding is that, if you top up $50 for the USB goat, you get with it the rewards of whatever your base pledge was. If your pledge is $15 and you top up $50 for a total pledge of $65, you would then get the USB goat with the $15 tier rewards. So to get the $50 tier rewards and the USB you'd need to pledge $100.

Again, that's just my interpretation, there's still some time left so probably best to send them a message asking for clarification.

Yes sounds like you two guys are spot on, my original thought was too good to be true and would obviously cost them money if it was that easy to get the Goat USB stick, thanks for the clarification, i should read the faq next time.

Will just stick to the $50 tier and get the rewards at that level without Goat USB stick.

I know I've already been double-ninja'd but I'd like to generalise this. When pledging or changing a pledge, you can choose ANY tier that fits within the amount you pledged, any excessive amount above the tier (say, you pledged $40 and chose a $25 tier, you'd have $15 in excess) would go towards any available top-ups, or just be sent to the project as pure kindness.

It's fully possible to pledge $1000 but choose the $50 or $1 tier, or no tier at all for that matter.

Yes, I believe so.
Looks like $800k is going to happen, but it's going to be a close call.

I find it hard to care about that stretch goal. I mean, "Allow us to realise our wildest ambitions" is so vague that it's practically meaningless. And if it just means putting more stuff in the game, that's not a binary thing that can only happen once they hit exactly $800,000.

I agree with you on this, mostly, but I guess anything helps. I don't see Revolution using the extra funds carelessly. If it helps them make a better game, I'm all for it.
less than 6 hours to go....
800.,000k passed, great news
Looks like 800k has been reached!

Edit: ShogunDarius was faster:)

"from $250 upwards 'Goat' 16GB USB memory stick"?

Done! :)
So we'll get to see their wildest ambitions, huh? I'm not enthusiastic about "inserting a backer into the game" or "becoming Nico's neighbor," goofy little vanity projects that have the potential to seem very tacked on (because, of course, they are tacked on); but by and large, I am really excited to see what will come from this.
Ah, screw it, I want the Nico notebook. No more games for me for a while!

Or were you including Paypal when you said it passed $800,000?

p.s. you can say $800k or $800,000, but $800,000k actually means $8m. >.>
