jamyskis: Funny you should mention that, because I fired up my German version of Command and Conquer on my PS1 yesterday. Oh, the nostalgia...
I think the last time there was a discussion about censorship on videogames, we already had a discussion about C&C :)

Potzato: Isn't it robots again in your version that you kill ? It would explain the price difference you know .... robots are better ... they're more clever .... do you ever heard of a robots buying day-1 dlc ?

;D

But no...this time we get to kill us some real-life Russkies! Yeeee-haaaa!
You mean real life looking cyborg Russians with green blood that fade away the second they die. But don't worry! The German version gets Counterstrike weapons!!!

Wait until the day it comes out. Then you will see the $200 worth of day 1 DLC.
And there'll be expansions or DLC with actual content that'll sell for $40 as well. This is just speculation, but the potential is there to pay as much for this game as a PS4! I'm just going to wait 18 months and buy the whole thing for $10.
Even if all that DLC is pointless, which I bet it is, it still looks so bad I am surprised companies put it up.

Image is everything.

Most of it is pointless but not all.

I wonder if the guy in my pic, is the brains behind SEGA.

Same here, I would buy the PS4 at 10 bucks in 18 months.

:p

I've just been advised that all of the content can be unlocked in game, information which Sega has chosen not to put on the front page (I guess for reasons apparent).

So it is ALL pointless.

when did greed ever care about image,
Why the price of this game is 80Euro for me? I'm talking about standard edition without any DLC.

Why would someone pay $55 to have content they can have for free with a little bit of patience?

langurmonkey: Such douchebaggery from SEGA, leaves me no choice but to wait for the GOTY edition of this game to be available for $10 or less during a sale.

Fuzzyfireball: SEGA and Square Enix LOVE their DLC. I find it to be expected that a lot of their games with be loaded with it.
So how is this SEGA's fault when the business model for the game was in place before they acquired Relic?
I wouldn't even blame THQ as it was Relic who experimented with it during CoH Online.

Because as I said, most gamers are fucking idiots with absolutely no financial sense, and Sega know that these brainless morons will just lap it up. See the Top Sellers list for what I mean.

And it's €70 ($90) here for the standard edition on Steam, €20 more than most AAA games.

(Also, CoH has a bit of a bad rep here as the unofficial game of choice of the neo-nazi movement here in Germany)

Same in France don't worry ...or DO worry I'm not sure.
