Aside from all the bitching about the pricing and DLC does anyone else think that CoH2 is pretty much inferior to the original game in everything beside maybe the new line of sight mechanic?

It really feels like an inferior reskin then a real sequel.

Fuzzyfireball: SEGA and Square Enix LOVE their DLC. I find it to be expected that a lot of their games with be loaded with it.

Paradoks: SEGA sure does but SE? I haven't seen them doing anything out of ordinary. THQ when they were still around and CAPCOM would be better examples.

Aver: Why the price of this game is 80Euro for me? I'm talking about standard edition without any DLC.

Paradoks: The boxed "suggested" price in Poland is 40€. Most shops will have it around 35. Still more expensive than most new boxed releases for whatever reason.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/203160/ - 26 DLC
http://store.steampowered.com/app/202170/ - 26 DLC
http://store.steampowered.com/app/203140/ - 11 DLC

Just a few examples, with recent titles they pump out the DLC.

The DLCs are all just fucking skins anyway. If you want them, pick them up later in a 75% sale. Not like they're offering up unique campaigns as DLC.

Yet.
How's the game? This reminds me all the more well that I really should install the first game again since it's the first strategy game in years that I actually liked.
Steam selling the game for US$59.99. I just got the game boxed set from a retail store for US$44 and the dude gave me the slip for pre-order bonus skins. Lol.

Release pricing is always top price on Steam, it's when the sales roll out that you want to pick up games there. (or find someone from a cheap country to gift it to you of course)

I never buy games directly from Steam at launch, ever. For launch buys, I either go retail or go Gamersgate or GMG.
For sales, it depends on the game I want. Otherwise I avoid Steam as a whole in general most of the time.

Works for me, I tend to like the preorder bonuses, and trading for it got me COH for a little over 30 for instance, which is a price I'm happy with :)
