It feels to me as though CDPR are pushing away the very demographic that made the site a success to begin with.
People are just getting confused. They're releasing old games at the same rate they used to, they're just releasing new games as well. If you really can't stand new games then this is no longer the site for you.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, but as far as I can see CDP isn't pushing you away, you're pushing yourself away.

I knew I should have bookmarked this post.
I'm not going to do the same thing for current months, here's the same discussion we had 3 months ago. See the numbers.
GOG.com is releasing old games (or classics, or however you want to call them) at the same frequency as they did last year, only now they are releasing more games as well.

Since GOG started releasing new games we've had roughly 70 classics (that was just a quick count, someone can do a more thorough one if they want). If anyone can remember when they did that we could find the average.

CDPR would do better in developing a sister site that focuses on Newer releases that get 'retired' to GOG upon hitting a certain age.

Semantics, I know, but it used to be exciting to log in once a week to find out what classic was on the new release tab. Now, I just see a bunch of games that I've never heard of, all recent games, and it's slowly eroding my excitement for the site.

My solution is to separate the Headlines and that rolling game picture irritating front thingy. I hate those. :/
But that's another discussion.
So I'd like something like two rows (Or some kind of other separation method.) of Headlines. One for new games and one for old.
How to deal with the rolling thingy except to get rid of it I don't know. There have to be someone that's already done it in a good way somewhere already.

Even I have made peace with this. It was different a few month ago. But for now, all looks good. I will complain again if it gets worse, but so far it is ok.

I'm still not buying new games here, though.

If people see 10 releases in a month, and 8 of them are old, they say "That's a lot of old releases".
If people see 20 releases in a month, and 10 of those are old, they say "Not enough old releases".

Some people prefer to have a high percentage instead of a high number, but they forget that 80% of 10 is lower than 50% of 20.

You can probably edit the page and save your own customised page using an addon in Firefox. Maybe Chrome and other browsers has such addons too.

1) The "Old" in "Good Old Games" has never meant that GOG was exclusively about old games. It just took them some time to expand into newer games.
2) To avoid this kind of confusion, "GOG" doesn't even stand for "Good Old Games" anymore.
3) Classics are being added as or even more frequently than they used to.

GOG obviously ran out of old games to release. Sad but true. :(

Now all they can manage at best is like 3-4 old games per week, when earlier they used to release at least a couple dozen classics a day!

True, I guess not all new games are marked as Pre-Order for example, so not sure on that point. You could however probably get rid of the rolling header thing you mentioned (I think the first one, Stylish, requires some HTML knowledge though).

So far there are only 2 user-made Stylish styles for GOG:

We need more skins!

Yeah I could probably remove the roller. Don't want to clog FireFox with too many scripts though. They have a tendency to mess up browsers. At least mine.
