It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I'm guessing you're getting a lot of flack for simply expressing your opinion, unfortunately. I'm going to avoid looking the other posts and say that some of us have similar feelings in some ways, but people are right in that there are still old games being released alongside the new ones.

I know exactly what you mean about excitement being eroded, but sometimes there are things outside of one's control, and while I'm glad you expressed your opinion, this should be kept in mind and ways should be found to "deal" with it.

Tarm: Yeah I could probably remove the roller. Don't want to clog FireFox with too many scripts though. They have a tendency to mess up browsers. At least mine.
True. Apparently theres also Stylish for Chrome if preferable.

Not just some, but 'as many as before'. Possibly even more on some weeks.
WHERE ARE ALL THE OLD GAMES MAN?

WHERE ARE THEY?

GOG ARE LIARS MAN! IT WAS ALL A PLOY TO GET OUR MONEY MAN!

WE'RE FUCKING DOOMED! THERE IS NO HOPE!

Haven't tried Chrome much but it's always good with alternatives.

Nope, not for expressing an opinion, just for the repetition of it without checking similar already existing threads and for the ignoring of facts.

Although, to be fair, the suggestion to make a clearer distinction between old and new games is a little different than just complaining about a perceived lack of old releases. I think part of all the criticism directed at GOG for the inclusion of new games could have been avoided if they had made a clearer distinction (e.g. "indie" and "classic" release days). So in that regard, the OP has a certain point, and maybe I just misunderstood it, sorry.

amok: and I prefer a focus on the 2 G's anyway.
This right here.

As long as they keep the classics coming along with other games, its fine. The biggest point is that they are good and they are games.

Ahhh... so no Microshaft Winblows 98? <:(

Zannis77: CDPR would do better in developing a sister site that focuses on Newer releases that get 'retired' to GOG upon hitting a certain age.
That would've been what was best for us customers but they obviously wanted to use their website identity (and in the process gave up it's meaning.) gog doesn't feel at all like it used to when it only had old games and I've said many times that they're poorly integrated into the site with no filtering options (they should be under New Games, Indie Games, Old Games or something like that, not just all under games).

The thing is they have pushed hard at times with hefty sales on their newer/indie games to force us oldies into giving in and accepting it, along with wasting the hidden gem promo on them, but I'm still standing strong and refusing to get any of them. I'm all for DRM free newer games but I don't agree with what gog has done here and so I won't support it.

Edit: I guess the reason people feel there are less oldies is because of the disappointment that comes from looking at the new releases only to find out they're indie/new and not another golden oldie; it sticks with you.

GOG is perpetually stuck in a groundhog day.

If they added that it could compete with Revelations 2012 on Steam for worst product sold.

Kristian: I would personally like to see more new or newish games that are not indie. The Alan Wake games are good examples of that. I have become addicted to GOG because of its DRM free, universal pricing and great extras much more so than classics. But it certainly helps that it is a great place to get otherwise "lost" classics.
I agree with this. I bought Alan Wake and Witcher 2 here and would like to see more newer stuff show up if possible. I realize most publishers are too stubborn to sell stuff without DRM attached, or outside of Steam, but there are people that do like seeing these releases.

timppu: GOG obviously ran out of old games to release. Sad but true. :(

Now all they can manage at best is like 3-4 old games per week, when earlier they used to release at least a couple dozen classics a day!
A couple dozen classics a day..... How old is this site? Tarm, he's dated joining at 2008. Assume they started like that and released "SEVERAL DOZEN A DAY" for even two weeks, that's already 1/4th of all the games that have ever been released on this website out of 4 years ahead of it. Now compound 52 weeks a year and two releases a week as being the minimum, you've made up the entire website. I think you're exaggerating there.

I, uh, think he was being sarcastic.
