Potzato: I'm in. Nice topic.

1°) As people here said, there is a time limit, but in my opinion don't get rushed by it.
2°) Use the "talk about" box during dialogues with important chararcters if you have an intelligent character and if you want to go the extra mile. Many games don't have such a feature and it's a really cool way to get info about characters and quests.
3°) Don't give much effort to keep sidekicks alive in Fallout1, it's not worth it. I mean, you can heal them, but don't reload countless time the same fight because they die.
4°) The mauser is a cool handgun. Quite weak but it got an accuracy bonus. Ammunition is sparse though if I remember correctly.

I know I pm'd you, but as usual I make my 2nd public thanks to you for the giveaway.

I may have had other warnings about buggy perks in Fallout 1 but I never knew which version was ok, which wasn't .... I'll try to dig you up something.
For instance I remember reading a long time ago that 'magnetic personnality' (or I don't remember which charisma perk) didn't work at some point ..... if anyone knows something about it he may express himself.

Good luck out there. Last advice : If it looks like something big and hungry, then it'll probably try to eat you (edit : having played F3 you probably know that).

blotunga: Try the fallout restoration mod :). It should fix most bugs.
