Hmm, I still have my suspicions on Vitek, but this is clearly safer

Unvote Vitek, vote nolynch
Day 1 final votecount

No lynch - 7 - Damuna, Dominic988, FoolalooF, GoJays2025, nmillar, nazarush, Titanium
Damnation - 1 - Robbeasy
Titanium - 1 - Vitek
Tyler62092 - 1 - eyeball226

As the sun sets over Gogville, a decision is finally reached. Realizing that there is no conclusive evidence against anyone, the villagers decide it is best to not lynch anyone, fearing to lose one of their own, and rather start anew tomorrow. Tired and worried they all head home to go to bed. But just how many will be alive tomorrow to continue the fight against the mafia?

The day has ended without a lynch.

It is now night 1, please do not post in the thread.

Night actions are due in 48 hours from this post - 09:00 GMT Wednesday 15th.

Day will break in no more than 72 hours from this post.
Call for night actions!

Deadline for night actions is in roughly 14 hours 30 minutes. If you have not sent in an action before that I will assume that you wish to not use any abilities.

Day will break within 24 hours after the deadline.
The sun dawns on a brand new day. After an uneventful day yesterday, you again gather in the town square. "But", one of you asks, "what has changed since yesterday? Aren't we going to come to the same conclusion?"
Oh, but something has changed. Soon you realize that Damuna isn't present. You run towards her house. The door is locked, but someone soon breaks a window to get in. Rushing into the bedroom, you notice that the bed hasn't been slept in. Damuna never made it home...

On the way back to the town square, you walk by the police station. The door is open, and inside you can see a body in a pool of blood. The body is so beat up that it is hard to make a positive identification, but Damuna is the only one missing. Next to her lies a bloody baseball bat.

Damuna - Town Head of Police (cop) has been killed!

It is now Day 2.

With 11 alive it takes 6 to lynch.

Damuna: Hold on now, folks. With our respected mayor dead, we have to maintain some kind of order around here. Random lynchings will only lead to anarchy, and without any coherent legal framework being enforced, criminals will be able to do as they wish - don't you think that's what they want?

I say we cool our jets until some shady characters overstep themselves. We'll have no hysterical witch hunts on my watch.
Now colour me surprised - I'm guessing this post might be what gave the game away??

I was asleep when the nolynch vote went through - personally can't believe we didnt go for a lynch of somebody! Now we've lost the town cop and are properly in the poo...always better to take action than sit and wait for it...can someone please explain how we know more than yesterday now - and how we are better off??? And - did we not have a Doc who can protect someone?? Even I could have made a guess at Damuna being the cop....come on townies, we're a shambles here at the moment!

We're better off because we have only 1 dead townie and no information, as opposed to (in all liklihood) 2 dead townies and no information. And regarding the Doc, I don't want to have a go but he/she was probably protecting any of the other people one could have 'made a guess' as being the cop.

But lets keep this civil
Civility is my middle name - it's not a go at any individual, just a plea for us all to get ourselves together and think it through a bit more....;o)

And sorry, I still disagree - I think we should have been pro-active from the start. By taking actions, it puts past comments in a new light and gives us the one thing us Townies lack - information. Now we have no way of gauging yesterdays comments. Yes, we might have lost a second Townie, but surely worth the risk?

But don't mind me, I've had a few.....

Seeing as we dont have any other info, I point FoS at Damnation still, purely on yesterdays comments...

(FoS - Finger of Suspicion. Not as final as a Vote, but lets people know who you are wary of...)
First votecount of the day!

No votes...

We're all way to cautious to vote...

Really? He doesn't seem that suspicious to me really.
I have a sinking suspicion that it's going to be another round of random votes. It's risky, but somebody will have to start guessing if we want to solve this quagmire. The fact of the matter is, no one wants to be the starting spark of a fire that will kill of a townie. And everybody seems equally suspicious.

Well, Robbeasy, regarding your comments yesterday, I'm just a very different person from you. About your inquiry - I did answer if, and it is not my fault if you overlooked it or think of it as a lame explanation, but either way, there it is.

About me posting first being an implication, I just wished this to begin. And with this new day dawning, YOU are guilty of the very same thing.
And why I did not shift my guilt away? Simple, it would seem far more of an implication of me being guilty. That, and I'm very busy with education.

But point the finger at me if you wish. I can only guarantee you it is the wrong person you're pointing at.

But as people have said, we lack information, so we should make an attempt at gathering it. Especially with the terrible loss of our respected head of police.

Finally , someone speaks some sense and we have some dialogue going.

I withdraw my FoS from you good sir/madam - I was only repeating yesterdays mostly random vote to try and get some interaction going between folks....

Now, do we have any actual clues to go on, looking at who got whacked?

Damuna (R.I.P) first spoke on page 1, and I immediately voted him / her. Which would point FoS at me, only we didnt know anything then and I was basically random voting. Not much else went on with Damuna after that...

I've been thinking about it, how would I play it if i was Mafia? Stay really quiet, not join in much, wait for others to make mistakes, or lead conversations, provoke people, get reactions?

If you lean towards the second way of doing things, then possibly I am leading the way there again. Hey , I don't mind putting myself out there - I know I'm not Mafia - my reasons for doing it are to try and get some dialogue going between us all to give us a better chance of actually finding the pesky blighters....;o)

But personally, if I was Mafia I would keep quiet, watch , not say much early on and see what other people said. I'm guessing most of us are new to the game, it would definitely be the more cautious and easier approach first time up..

Quietest people so far.....Tyler, eyeball, nmillar. Although theres a lot more not really contributed a great deal....

Thoughts anyone??

Of course, I could be talking utter rubbish - I have had a couple of beers...

Robbeasy: Of course, I could be talking utter rubbish - I have had a couple of beers...
But its only 1 o'clock! (Not that I'm judging you, I've had a couple myself, high-five problem drinkers!)

Anyway, I appreciate the need for information but it's so hard to tell. I can't see how they figured out Damuna was the cop apart from sheer luck. I think I was the one to initate the nolynch vote yesterday as it seemed like the right thing to do at the time. However, I accept that it's not always the best move as pointing fingers can get discussions going where people may slip up.
Well from my perspective, the most suspicious person is Robbeasy. Reasons

1) He started off, not with a true random vote, but by laying down an accusation on Damuna. This could have been a joke, but it also could have been an attempt to lean towards an early lynch of Damuna

2) When voting Damuna backfired he quickly switched to voting Damnation purely to put him at just as high a number of votes (by his own admission,) which again seems like an attempt to lean for a quick lynch

3) Most of his posts make some reference to having been drinking. Whether or not this is true, saying it in his posts strikes me as an attempt to make his posts seem more innocent and excuse anything scummy he might do.

Nevertheless, Im not going to vote until Robbeasy has a chance to defend himself about these things and others get a chance to give their opinion.

Nazarush: Well from my perspective, the most suspicious person is Robbeasy.
I get that impression too, though I am beginning to think that Robbeasy's vote for Damnation is an attempt to throw us off the scent; they could very well both be Mafia. Clever tactic if true.
