I'm betting they'll have a massive Sale What Ends All Sales(tm). It'll have ALL the GOG games for one low, low price. What else could they do, with the world exploding on Dec 21? All 470+ for what, $1 each? $2? The lot for $999?

After all, once the world explodes, there won't be any more new GOG games to play anyway!

Nroug7: Oh, I'm quite disappointed, my research indicated that Earth was going to be the ball in a game of pong created by higher powers.

Theta_Sigma: I thought it was supposed to be Pinball.
Well there are many fan theories as well, including the pretty convincing one of "ninepins." But that's probably just inspiration from Rip Van Winkle and not terribly probable. It's just anecdotal, like the evidence for Bigfoot or gravity. My theory has truly marvelous proof, which this post is too narrow to contain.

Nirth: I never thought much of hint announcement or announcement in general but this almost gave me goose bumps. I hope it's a GOG feature, a new release or something else than a simple sale. Games here are cheap as it is..

Fictionvision: The success of pay what you want bundles shows games can never be too cheap :P
I would take a new release anyday before (even) a free game. Down the road I'll buy the game here if I want it so I rather see more releases than sales. ;)

I'm hoping for a off-topic sub-forum, a working search function and an advanced ignore list!
It's got to be The Walking Dead.

"The end is near."
A New Beginning developed by Daedelic was released a few days ago on steam. It is the only game missing from Daedelic over here. And as a matter of fact, the game deals with an Eco catastrophe that may destroy the earth.

Would be hoping its something a tad more...... exciting!!! :D

Fictionvision: I could see Lucasarts being something this huge though. Right after the buyout, they signed a deal with Gamestop to sell the old PC games on their download site. It wouldn't be too far fetched to think they have signed here also.
Sadly Gamestop only has the same ones which are already on the Steam catalog I think (not even all of them). The current collection of LA classics on Steam and Impulse is sadly pretty small. Don't get me wrong, even if it were only the anemic collection on Impulse or somewhat better on Steam, I'd be very happy to have them sign with GOG so at least GOG might get a slim chance at the others too. And GOG might press harder for the classics than Steam or Impulse since while GOG is expanding, GOG's still much more focused on classics than either of those two.
My head would explode if they are EA expansions, but I don't think so...

Remember, it's CDP (kinda). They usually make things way bigger in their words than it is in reality.
Oh we blow up 2 days early :)

Looking forward to finding out what this is all about
what is it? it's already the 19th here, at 4:30 pm. I think it's 6 more hours to go.
Well, its 11:38pm 19/12/2012 over here, by my calculations, its been officially the 19th for about half an hour.

FantasyNightmare: System Shock 1 + 2 confirmed?
Oh, Lord. If ever there was an instabuy, those two are it.

Then again, I feel that way about a lot of LucasArts games too.
