stg83: I hope this awesome news calms down the crowd that was cursing Sony for making the game console exclusive and bad mouthing TIm as well.
What if the game ends up a Steam exclusive like the other LucasArts games?

darthspudius: Excellent. Hopefully it will get as much love as Monkey Island did.
It would be great if they could do that kind of remake where you can change between remake and original version at any time with simple press of a keyboard key.
A Remake? No Thanks! Give me the original game or bust! :P
Jesus Crime, I almost fell out of my chair. Are we also getting a GOG version?

Then people will buy it and enjoy it?

Hopefully, If the game on PC is going to be published by Double Fine as well then I would bet tinyE's remaining nut that it will be on GOG like all of their other games published by them are. :)

That depends on what they're changing. However I love the way they did that with Monkey Island. Though, there is no way I could play the originals again. It's not the same without that hilarious voice acting.

then we curse and fart in their general direction, and buy more DRM free games as consolation?
That's just great! But the original news called this a "remastered" re-release. So I'll try not to hope for too much, remembering the recent unfortunate re-release of Z, which was apparently completely killed by remastering.

Different kind of game and this is not being remade specifically for a tablet is it? Thats the problem Z had, it was made for touch screen devices!

Why not both? =P
Remake like "remaster" or like "alternate version"?
Because a compatible version would be good, but a new modified re-release leaves me puzzled..

It's like.. if I want to watch an old b&w classic movie, I'm not going to see the 3d effin' remake! (unless the source was bad)
Just make a sequel, or at least include the unmodified original too.

That was a bit of a stupid comparison.
This is great news.

Why? I'd like to experience the original look, music and gameplay.. what's wrong with that?
Big modifications for me are good only if optional.
