I have Kubuntu but have been known to mess around with Mint and Ubuntu
OpenSuSE.

And I don't really care if GOG gets official Linux support or not - I can support myself fairly well, and have a Windows dual-boot for the games that do not work.
Ubuntu 11.04 standing by.

I've not used KDE since version 4 took over and messed everything up...

Using Kubuntu atm. Used to use Gentoo several years ago but got bored on constant system recompiles. But now I miss rolling system so I've planned move to Arch on next system update.

btw. Gnome is crap and 3.0 is even worse. Used to use XFCE which is nice but moved year ago into KDE.

Why do you think Gnome is crap? I haven't had a problem with it so far, though I haven't used anything else so I can't compare.

Anyway, Mint 8 here.

Because with Gnome it is their way or highway. And their way is to hide everything from user just because it would be too confusing to have options. Best example being just recently with 3.0 they completely removed option to choose action on laptop lid close and just said that hibernation is good enough for all.
fedora and ubuntu
use dual boot for games too, but always wished I could get rid of my windows forever.

This is precisely why I moved away from GNOME. It always felt like GNOME was taking over my machine and that I wasn't in any more control over it than I would be using Windows!

I'm using ubuntu on my desktop but I can't take it anymore. With every release, they manage to make things worse then they were before. 10.10 was running perfectly. Now with 11.04 Adobe Flash is not working as it used to be, I get weird glitches all over the place, auto-complete in bash is broken (as is history) and worst of all: they had to replace rhythmbox with banshee. Now the cool thing about banshee is that it terminates it self for no reason at the end of a track (happens randomly).

If anyone could recommend me another distro that would be great (except for debian and openSuse...)
Ubuntu 11.04... and I hate the new "Unity" interface.

turbomursu: So please sing up into this thread and also tell which distro you use. I'm hoping that if we get a lot of people signed up, it would be possible to have Linux compatibility for GOG games or at least some kind of official suport for us too. But that's only a distant dream and first we have to get those names up.
The GOG guys have very clearly stated in the past that while they are not opposed to supporting other OSes for these games, they do not have the means to do that (at the moment) and they are not in the business of porting games to other OSes. If a port already exists or if a dev/publisher decides to produce one, that would be great, but GOG would still need to add a significant number of staff to deal with the testing and supporting of games on that other OS, plus they would have to deal with a whole set of new licensing negotiations. No matter how many of us use Linux, that is not likely to change anything for GOG any time soon.
I use Ubuntu for work.

Ubuntu Desktop for development and Ubuntu Server for deployment.

I'm not a masochist though. I use Windows to play my GOG games.
I dual-boot Arch and Win7 mostly for gaming reasons. Prior to Arch, I was a Fedora user.

I use to use Gnome as my main DE as I found KDE ugly overall (not just aesthetically) and had less than stellar experiences with XFCE and others in the past, but Gnome 3, which is butt-fuck ugly in its overall demeanor, is the only supported Gnome version under the repositories I use. While I could put Gnome 2 on myself, I don't really care to since it's more work for something I don't care about than I feel the need to do. Been using XFCE 4 as an alternative, though, and I'm liking it well enough compared to my previous excursions. I suppose all of this is moot, though, as it's all just a temporary place holder until I set up something workable with OpenBox. I've just been too lazy/busy/distracted to do so and, well, I really do like XFCE 4.

Legacy OS (Puppy derivative) and Mint, depending on which PC I am at. Mostly I just use Windows 7 for games, though.
