15,504 ways to play!

Decisions, decisions, decisions. Once the holiday season gets closer, you have to decide what gifts to buy, what wrapping to use, which phone numbers to accidentally delete. There are many decisions to make as you get ready for the holidays, but one decision that we’re making easy for you is, “Should I buy anything from GOG.com’s Black Friday sale?” (The answer is “yes”, by the way. ;) Not only are we launching the sale early--in case you spend Friday in a turkey-induced coma--but we’re also giving you the power to pick your own promo!

In our Pick 5 & Pay $10 sale you pick 5 out of twenty fantastic indie games and pay $10 for them regardless of the game’s regular full price. That's $2 per game, for such titles like Torchlight, Resonance, Alan Wake's American Nightmare, Botanicula, Geneforge 1-5, Uplink, To the Moon, and many others. Seven of these games are both PC and Mac compatible, so everyone can enjoy!

The games are fantastic--and there are so many of them! That's why we started this sale early: to give you time to pick your dream-set of 5 games out of 15,504 possible combinations. You could look at this as another decision you have to make this year, but unlike trying to figure out who you should sit next to your slightly crazy uncle at Thanksgiving dinner, this one’s fun!

Black Friday marks the start of the “shopping season” for the holidays, so don’t forget to buy the gift of GOG for a gamer you love--or even just kind of like. You can’t spread much more holiday joy than this for just $10.

mondo84: Hey, you no longer want people to "BUY RESONANCE" anymore!
I still do, of course, but Clarity takes precedence, and I have only one sig.

Starmaker: I was curious and had to check the math in the announcement.
So, 20! / [ 5! * (20-5) ! ] = 2432902008176640000 / ( 120 * 1307674368000) = 15504
ahem

20! / ( 5! * 15!) = 16*17*18*19*20 / (2*3) / (4*5) = 16*17*3*19 = (16*3)*(17*19) = 48*323 = 14544 + 960 = 15504

Kids these days...
20*19*18*17*16/(1*2*3*4*5) :-)

No doing math in public!
Wanna bet the next bundle like this one will have Interplay games? :P
Whoa, nice promo. I haven't bought a game here in a while but there's no way i'm passing on this amazing opportunity to get me some new adventure games. I was wondering though: you can only gift the whole order? I already own a lot of those and I was thinking of gifting Torchlight and keeping the other four.

If you already own Torchlight on GOG.com, gift the 5 games, redeem the code yourself (thus getting 4/5 games), and send the code (that will contain only Torchlight at this point) to someone else.
If you don't own Torchlight on GOG.com yet, this method will fail, unless the one you gift to has all the other 4 games.
Is The Ball any good? Well if someone wants to trade my Humble Indie Bundle 2 & 3 Desura keys for, then PM me :P

Thank you, that was very helpful. I'm doing this now. Actually, I'll think I'll buy two bundles and gift the extra codes to my friends.
Is this on?
Machinary.

Turns out that this is a great deal with a very easy choice for me - there were exactly five games that I don't already own! What luck, and yet another feeling of smugness as I see the "you own all the games in this promo" message... :D
Wow. very good promo. Got new 5 games in my collection. Never thought I can buy Alan Wake expansion so cheap (plus few really good adventure games). Love it gog ;)

Point is, Mondo84 most likely used a calculator app, while I did it the oldschool way, mentally.
