michaelleung: Republique, the new iOS game that's being developed by a former producer of Metal Gear Solid 4, among others. It's kind of like Uplink, Run Lola Run and 1984 put together in my opinion.

lowyhong: Shit looks good. Looks a lot like Experiment 112. Shame it's not coming out for the PC.
Got to wonder why they asking 500000 for an iOS game....good luck to them lol

Yeah it's not very economical to focus on a market that's used to paying a dollar or two for its games, yet have such high production values. Still, I wish them the best of luck.
For that amount of money they are asking, they'd be shooting for an Angry Bird sized seller

That's an insane target amount. It seems like a lot of indie developers are simply delusional after seeing the success of the Double Fine Kickstarter. You can't just ask people to pony up half a million dollars for a phone game. Since Kickstarter is all or nothing, I honestly don't know why they're even trying. Still, this project looks better than the pathetic Ninja Warz Kickstarter.

Thanks for mentioning this. I'm not interested in that particular project (might have some interest if they add Android), but the FAQ about distributing the iOS rewards is useful for mentioning elsewhere. All I've seen until now is "it's impossible to give iTurns copies, so you'll get only the PC/Mac version" kind of answer. Going to post this to Shadowrun.
This was advertised on the Be Mine 2 bundle site, and it looks interesting: Grimm Fairy Tales Animated Series

Very interesting project. I like Lena Headey from TSCC (even though the show went to shit in Season 2). I've never been a fan of Briana Evigan's shows, but I do appreciate her enthusiasm and exuberance, which seem genuine enough. Plus, it is also a very affordable KS project to support. For $50, you get some neat goodies, the TPB and the DVD, which is a p. good deal if the quality turns out fine.

Imo everyone who loved Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon and Socom should take note of the tactical shooter project called takedown: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/355932838/crowdsourced-hardcore-tactical-shooter?ref=live
Luckily the project reached it's goal on April 1st

I don't like that kind of game, but I put $1 towards this project just because the creator made an effort to appease the fans and re-made the page from scratch including a nice video.
From the Grimm Fairy Tales ks page: this is what is wrong with the universe.

Pledge $350 or more
10 Backers SOLD OUT (0 of 10 remaining)
The Digital Demi-God Collection!!! a digital copy of every comic we have released through ComiXology, and all the comics we publish digitally until the end of this year (roughly 200 comics!!!). Also, everything included in the Collector's Edition Package.

Note that the Collector's Edition Package ($250) itself isn't a Limited Reward.
I've chipped in for Wasteland 2 (sequel to the prequel of fallout? yes please) & Starlight Inception (looks like a cross between a space shooter & space sim, made by some of the people who worked on xwing vs TIE Fighter)

I was thinking of backing the doublefine one but their entire pitch amounted to "Hi, I'm Tim Schafer, give me money". I'll probably buy what they make but without upfront details I wasn't going to preorder "something"

Great pitch, I thought.

Actually, the reason I paid was the documentary. That way even if I don't like the game I will have something. That and how funny Tim was convinced me.
here is a Kickstarter that I hope gets the money to be funded. David Liebe Hart, who is most known for being on the Tim and Eric Awesome show as well as his Public Access show, is wanting to make a punk album.

Jane Jensen's kickstarter needs you guys! Creator of Gabriel Knight and Gray Matter, co-designer of King's Quest 6.

She has a very special idea for "community supported gaming" and I think adventure gamers especially should give this a strong consideration.
