We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

lowyhong: I'd like to be able to subscribe to an RSS Feed that informs on new releases, one for every subcategory. That would be pretty cool. Of course, having it as an add-on would be the best :)
avatar
pyrowolf: This is one of my biggest frustrations with the kickstarter site itself, which is why I built-in categories and eventual sorting capability into the browser & search tool. I'd never considered an RSS feed, I'll have to put that on my list!

avatar
lowyhong: Nonetheless, thanks so much for the effort pyrowolf! You're doing a great service to indie developers and consumers.
avatar
pyrowolf: Thank you! I really hope so. The whole thing started as a fun utility for me personally and just grew into something a lot bigger than I ever imagined it would become even today. It's still a work in progress but I'm excited people are enjoying it!

avatar
JudasIscariot: No offense but what is Chrime? :D
avatar
pyrowolf: It's my attempt to write posts at 3am and not catching it apparently! Should be Chrome, it's fixed now.

avatar
JudasIscariot: Also, clicking the Browse button does nothing for me. I was expecting to see categories or sections or something instead I get nothing.
avatar
pyrowolf: If you mean the download link to the add-on -- Unfortunately the add-on is still being reviewed for approval so the link doesn't go to the download page until they approve it. I wasn't intending on anyone really using the site until that happened, unfortunately it's sort of leaked earlier than I intended so the site is a little rough around the edges.

If you mean the browse button on the site, it should be showing you a list of currently tracked projects. If this is the case, let me know. I'd be curious to know why it's not showing up for you.
Yes, I meant the Browse button.

The site is showing up fine and I see the projects on the page. I guess the problem is on my end as in I was expecting to be taken to another page where I could browse by category, such as "Video Games", and such. Sorry if I raised false alarms.

Can you say a few words about how the funding projection feature works on your site? I just looked up the Jane Jensen Kickstarter on your site, and the projected result looks highly implausible to me (I attached a sceenshot). How accurate have your projections been in the past?

You should start a Kickstarter to fund Kicktraq xD

No worries, that's not quite done yet ;)

Sure. This is something that has come up in the past and discussed in detail on BGG (http://boardgamegeek.com/article/8849498#8849498). Basically, because of the initial ramp-up of pledges at the beginning of most KS campaigns, projections at the beginning are VERY volatile. I've considered suspending projections until I have at least x-number of days to counteract this.

In terms of accuracy, there's no way for me to really say because the projections are constantly being adjusted based on the current funding level. This is why once it gets out of the initial pledge ramp, the projection will get more in-line with realistic projections.

Finding that sweet spot is something I'm looking at now, but I'm trying to grow enough sample size for projection data to see where that cut-off looks to work best and work backwards from there.

For example, the project you link with only 4 days of data looks to be trending at about $24k a day ($95k / 4). Project that over a 45-day campaign and you get your $1m+ projection. Once the cool-down starts setting in, that projection should come down, but right now I don't have a good model to offset that ramp-up period hence my short-term solution to remove projections until maybe day 5 of sampled data. But, do people care enough about accuracy or would a disclaimer about projections be more beneficial.

The real answer is: I don't know yet! It's all new to me, so I appreciate your feedback! What do you think?

... the recursive nature of such an endeavor could destroy the universe as we know it. It's not worth the risk!

"Yo dawg...."
The Dead Linger funding came to 100% overnight. It does look like a pretty promising title; my only concerns are, if randomly-generated worlds really work, and if the small team that's making the game, can exceed the expectations the public has for the final game. Especially since 60K still isn't that much money in the game industry. But anyway, here's hoping for a great final product! That's probably available for sale in 2015, the earliest? :D

I guess zombies are still in vogue :P
GRANDROIDS! It's like creatures but promises to be better
I think Sira the game seems really cool. Please check it out and donate a little if you like it. It's a free to play dystopian future puzzle game. I'm hoping it's similar in style as Sunshine by Danny Boyle.
Can you add open source-free software kickstarter projects

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1946197
Added Zpocalypse. You guys have to check this out!

Anyway the list is starting to get huge, so from now on, I'm just going to add projects that I think are interesting or worth looking at. If you think a project is worth adding on to the list, please explain why. Sorry! :3

Republique, the new iOS game that's being developed by a former producer of Metal Gear Solid 4, among others. It's kind of like Uplink, Run Lola Run and 1984 put together in my opinion.

Shit looks good. Looks a lot like Experiment 112. Shame it's not coming out for the PC.
