Hitman 2 was supposedly the better one, I've read that somewhere.

Blood money is probably the most accessible for a new player and also the easiest to actually get.
And really, does hitman 1 or 2 have anything to compare to the heaven & hell party in blood money? An angelic assassin, a demonic assassin, a shark and lots and lots of bondage!
