Remedy has apparently acquired the rights to the series from MS so they possibly "could bring Alan Wake to different platforms". Since the only major platform it isn't on right now is Epic... There you go.

Good news that Microsoft doesn't hold the IP hostage and prevents a sequel anymore, as long as the Epic deal is not exclusive and they pull the game from other stores i don't really mind since i avoid Epic at all costs.

I hope i don't misunderstand the issue because i will sadly not give Gamespot and such ilk any clicks so i can't verify it.

Which is why I denoted my source instead of just expecting anyone to click. ;) The article is pretty short, and merely states that Remedy bought the IP rights so they "could bring Alan Wake to different platforms". It really is only a few lines. So, take it for what it is.

Hmm, shame they didn't give anymore details or perhaps they don't know yet but thanks for the info :)

Good. Now they can focus on AW 2. :p
as long as it does not get pulled from here again, I am fine with this.

Not a big pick up IMO. The game was really dull. Pretentious story with fairly average gameplay. No big loss to anybody.
Eh, as long as the carpet isn't pulled from GOG, who am I to care about some third rate store?

Your opinion.

I found it a fantastic game.

Of course an Epic deal would be exclusive. That's how they roll.

They might as well change their name to Exclusive at this point.
It could also mean Origin. Or Uplay. Or non-Microsoft consoles.

It's nothing groundbreaking - just that when Remedy has time off from Control they could potentially bring the Alan Wake games to PS4, etc. It's not just a "Oooo what digital store can they slap them onto now?" situation.

This would be cool. Getting it on a Sony or even Nintendo console would be good.
