I had that thought too, but this little island that I'm on would probably sink entirely, so there's not much point in building a bunker lol. I like the idea of having an underground mini fortress though, like Fallout. Stock up on SPAM, canned drinks, a HEPA filter, water dispenser, TV, an electric hydro-generator and a washing machine, and you're more or less set to go for 20 years
I'd have to have a big metal suitcase with G.E.C.K. stamped on it too.

JudasIscariot: And it apparently allows you to experience the mind of a god???[joke] WHO KNEW!?!?!?

I've been trying to find a post from Judas to quote and give him a little "New Posts" dingly bit.
We all miss you.
Yeees, we do! Sure, FunGoo returned, but now YOU'RE missing :'(
I don't know if this has been mentioned in the thread before, but let me fill you all in.
The Mayans believed time was cyclical, whereas we today believe time is linear. It's still just a belief - we have no proof one way or the other. Hence, the Mayans believed that what has happened in the past, must occur again in the future. They kept time in specific units that all repeated on three different interlocking circular wheels.
They predicted that the current age will end on the 21st of December, 2012.
In addition, there is a cosmic anomaly that will happen on the 21st of December, 2012: Our Sun will line up exactly with the center of the galaxy. This we can prove will happen. And the precession of the Earth will cause it to line up exactly to that same line at the same time.
Maybe what the Mayans predicted is some cosmic catastrophy following from this.
You scared yet?
Awww hell, I hope it'll be in the evening, 'cause I want to sleep most of the day on that particular date. Seriously, I would hate to oversleep the end of the world. That would suck.
LOL'ed hard besides I don't believe in any 'end of the world' theories.

The end of the world right before Christmas ? Can t we change that ? The gog team has to do something.
I think Interplay got the idea right, but I'm not talking about fallout as a whole, but the 'end of the world' won't be anything out of our control. The reasons will be 'entirely human' if anything was to happen.
We see ourselves, as cosmically significant, but I can't help but think if/when the 'end of the world' takes place it will be our own fault.
2012 is just Y2K all over again. Yes, it is true that the sun will line up with the Sagittarius constellation, but there's nothing to it, really; it is only just how we see things in the sky from our viewing location. There is no way it is going to be harmful for either the galaxy, the sun or the Earth or Mankind, or anything. Unless we are extremely unfortunate, I am quite convinced we will be celebrating Christmas in 2012 as well, and onwards.

Yay for sarcasm!
@Sky: But it is so much fun to believe the world will end. I plan to have a lot of fun in November and December!
