500 games on GOG.com ready to download and play.

Enter the GOG.com 500 Games Giveaway here!

Leisure Suit Larry--a great example of the classics that got us here, or you can pre-order Omerta: City of Gangsters--a promising Mafia crime sim that's showcases the quality & variety of the kinds of games that GOG.com will continue to release (new and old!) in the future.

We owe all of this to you--our gaming audience--and we're extremely grateful. This is as much your achievement as it is ours and that's why we're giving away 500 games to thank you. To enter the giveaway, simply tell us, after clicking the link, what's the next big step for GOG.com. Should we land on Mars? Create a small DRM-free country on some lonely Pacific island? Create an evil A.I. that will threaten mankind with endless tests? Just type a few words for a chance to win one of 500 games. You can get some extra entries by sharing, tweeting, and following us on social media. You're not joining any mailing lists or signing up for anything. We just need your e-mail to send the game. The giveaway ends next Thursday at 10:59 AM GMT. Join it here: GOG.com 500 Giveaway

Thanks again, and see you at a thousand games!

bowtux: I'm a bit concerned about your decision to use Rafflecopter. It seems to be a buggy site (accidental duped entries etc.), from what I've read, and now, people are posting referral links to your giveaway on Rc, while I can't find any info as to what they have to gain from these referrals.
It's better for people who don't use social networking. Basically i think that instead of being facebook or twitter only, they now have the option to allow those and email at the same time.

If it wasn't for this raffle copter site, i doubt someone like me could have entered that prize draw.

This promotion is obviously for anyone to enter, even if they aren't already a GOG member (at least, that's what it looks like).

Any idea regarding the referral links though?

Congratulations, and looking forward to spending my time (and money:P) with the many games you'll continue to share with us.
Not entering due to Facebook&co issue, I would only like to vote for future Linux support.
(Just noticed Crusader Kings II is available in the Linux Steam client, which is absolutely awesome, but still it's (for me at least) the "right" version in the "wrong" place :( )

No idea. If you are concerned about that, it might be a good idea to contact GOG customer support about it, or send a pm to a mod.
YES! Finally Leisure Suit Larry is on GOG! Can we get Larry 7, too, please? Heck, I'd even like to have Casino. This and the Monkey Island series defined the 90's for me. So much fun laughing along with these games. Speaking of Monkey Island, I'd love to get those games next. I'd love to hand over my money for Curse of Monkey Island and Escape From Monkey Island, which are currently not available to buy digitally anywhere that I know of.
I too, will pass on this comp' for the same reasons others have highlighted.
Why should I have to give my email address to a third party?
Bad feel there.

"Share this to get bonus entries. You get an entry for every friend that enters!"
This is a cool idea for GOG's planning purposes and marketing but I have to admit I was a little disappointed it didn't turn out to be the usual kind of game giveaway, where we all got a free game to celebrate hitting 500 which is something we've all contributed to with our purchases over the years now.

It is admittedly just a small disappointment though and I know it is because GOG has spoiled me. lol
I would just prefer GOG to remain the wholesome part-of-the-family-gaming-company that I love. No, not *that* kind of love, more like an adopted big/little/twin sibling (where we may disagree but in the end we still understand and look out for each other).

Seriously gog, please don't force your members to choose between their privacy/security/dignity and celebrating 500 games with you. The suggestions at least should have been also allowed on the forums.
Just a heads up, but if you guys want this to be enforceable, you should probably include an age limit under condition 2; as it reads, the sentence reads "...who are or older..."
Congrats on the 500th game! I had my money on the Command and Conquer collection, so I was a little off with my guess :D

Oh great the social media users get special treatment again. That's the first thing I mentioned as needing to change.

Just because some of us don't use that junk doesn't mean to say we don't advertise through word of mouth. I've gotten people onto GOG who use it fairly regularly through recommending it, buying them games as gifts etc but because I didn't do it through Facebook, Twitter or Youtube I'm a lesser GOGer?

Sadly, I 100% agree with this. I know its easier to use 3rd party script than to made one by self, but posts on forum should count too, at least. I do not need nor want to create another account just to "remember another password" and to "have fun".
Congrats on the 500. That's great news, indeed, and I am sure just the beginning of more awesome stuff to come.

Nicely said. This is the closes thing to a giveaway with DRM they could come up with. Not entering.
