Welcome to the GOG forums bro. Don't worry, self-promotion isn't an issue here. In fact, I think I speak for the majority when I say that we welcome devs with open arms, and if the game is good and worth-looking at (and I think it is, having first seen it at IndieGames.com), all the better.
THANKS! I really appreciate the spirit! had a harsh night, didn't slept at all answering emails and doing some interviews you may read later.
But what's wrong with Javier's post? Guys are clearly proud of their own game which looks
complete, fun and polished, unlike
other projects Glad we're not the only ones in the world who think SOME (not all, SOME) Kickstarter projets are inches away from becoming a world wide scam.
Carlos did some of the artwork for section 8, the upcoming Aliens colonial marines, F.E.A.R and others AAA titles. I'm a web design star (well sort of). The two of us could have easily made a 10m video saying how awesome our project could be if you just gave us all your money upfront.
But we didn't. We worked hard for almost 7 months. No life, no friends, low budget. We finished the game, we are selling it complete. Full. Final.
That's how it should be if you ask me. All this "give me money I will give you a game 2 years from now" sounds strange to me. But what do I know. I'm 30. I'm old already.
Must be that "new way" kids talk so much about.
I like old school. DO the game, then sell it. Hell, I like old school so much I still have a mouse pad even when I don't need it anymore. Why? because it has a Batman pic in it (Frank Miller).
EDIT: I need to sleep. Haven't slept in 48hs. Honest, 48hs hours. Will I die? please answer.
