Excuse the misspelling in the title.
I have the creator of the Dark Fall series Jonathan Boakes as a friend on Facebook.
I was very surprised to see a post by him on his games being sold on GOG.
Not only were the builds on GOG not the latest, but there was some shady business going on behind the scenes.
His Dark Fall games and The Lost Crown series are well worth playing.
Written on his wall:

"Very disappointed in GOG, the game download website. They have been selling my Dark Fall games and refuse to acknowledge me as the creator and copyright owner.

I still own the copyright on games called 'Dark Fall', but they insist some crooks called Nordic Games own them. Nordic say they bought them from Dreamcatcher, which simply isn't true. Dreamcatcher were issued a Cease and Desist years ago! Also, Nordic and GOG have failed to pay any royalties or provide sales figures.

It's very depressing. And, if I can't get paid what I am due, for my work, there is no point making games. It's a real shame, but I'm not sure I want to go through all this every time I make a game. It is soul destroying and makes me feel like I have wasted my time and provided plenty if cash for greedy suits with no morals or honesty.

If you have bought my games from GOG (Dark Fall retails at $5.99!!!) then I am sorry to report that not a cent actually made it to me; the only person credited in making the games.

Game people: anyone got any advice for me? "

This is very disappointing as I hold GOG very highly and this seems like a misunderstanding they really need to iron out.

**GOG has removed the games from the catalog.
Lets hope we can see them back on here including the new additions to the series.

Ah, so this is likely why the Dark Fall games disappeared.
Please see thread posted in the Dark Fall forum.

DotEmu also says that Nordic Games owns them. , [url=http://www.dotemu.com/en/download-game/596/dark-fall-2-lights-out]2

Saw there was mention of it in the series forums, but just thought the story needed a little more spotlight.
Here is hoping GOG works out a deal and the director's cuts of the games can be sold.

Wonder if they will also yank the games?

He (Boakes) comments on his page as if it has been some sort of ongoing struggle, but it appears that GOG removed the games within an hour of his initial comment. He gives no definite time on when any cease-and-desist letters were sent.

Though he may be in the right, he sure is going about things in the most whining manner possible.

Well, it's like he just decided to wake up today and see if his games are still being sold anywhere. So maybe eventually.

EDIT: His comment as of an hour ago: "Oh! I didn't know about the Amazon sales!"

GOG isn't the only DD service selling them as Nordic Games, so why pick on them specifically ? Also, this guy's problem is with Nordic games, not with GOG.

I know. As I mentioned in my previous post, it's like he just woke up today and decided to see if his games are still being sold anywhere.

He didn't know about them being sold on Amazon until an hour ago...

Someone who uses Facecrap should tell him about all the other places too :P
Weird.
There is also a Dark Fall Lost Souls on Steam. Labelled as Darkling Room - Iceberg Interactive property.
From what Irishskrapper quoted, sounds like his problem started with a dispute with Dreamcatcher. I'll presume the other parties involved were acting in good faith until evidence shows otherwise. (But Mr. Boakes, seriously, how do you miss that your games were being sold by other people online for years?)

We have removed the games from sale as an act of good faith despite the fact that we have not been sent any paperwork from the devs that prove that they have the rights to the games in question. We have been speaking with the dev and with Nordic; for obvious reasons, GOG.com cannot comment on an ongoing rights issue, but we hope that this is resolved soon to all parties' content.

For me it sounds like buls*it.
He noticed on GOG today (game was here for a long time) and didn't check other places in the internets?
Rly?

Especially that the case should be between him and Nordic games.
