Hi guys. Just out of curiosity... what is the first game you remember playing ever on a PC? Can be as corny as Windows Solitaire :P. Mine was one of the first Commander Keen titles .. almost sure it was Episode 4: Secret of the Oracle ... `round 93.

EDIT: And if i try to remember even more ... it was on an Amiga 4000 machine that a friend owned. On my first PC (a 586 @ 100MHz) it would have to be DOOM as well.

EDIT2: And by PC yes .. I mean IBM compatible machine.

On actual PC? Probably Bruce Lee or Dambusters on the Amstrad PC1512

A galaga type clone for dos. Instead of several layers of enemies, it was a single layer who stayed at the top of the screen and dropped projectiles. In later levels when you killed them little yellow half crescents would float to the bottom of the screen.

There was also a simple dos golf game. It used a weird way of selecting a club. You didn't manually slect a club, it would cycle continously through the club choices until you made a choice. Mostly red with red trees.

It would be nice if anyone could identify these mid to late 80's games.
First game I ever remember playing on PC was Wasteland, possibly Tetris. Both were on the same machine.
On PC I think it was Prince of Persia.

It's a full golf game, not just putting. I appreciate the effort though. Off to Mobygames I guess for some sleuthing. Only 82 DOS golf games to sift through!

Horse or Tic Tac Toe. They were entirely ascii based games on an old computer system I can't even identify anymore. The horse game determined the winner simply by iterating the previous winner right. The Tic Tac Toe game always used the same strategy. So once you determined a winning strategy, it always worked.
My first PC was Pentium II 350 MHz, so it's pretty modern times (late 1999) and the first game was Age of empires.

The second one was Ishar Compilation (it was added as a full game in some magazine) and i will certainly buy this on GOG someday

Age of empires 1 i have till today, and i play it from time to time :)

If you mean IBM compatable... one of the gold box D&D games azure bands i think it was..
If you mean computer I played a text adventure with my older brothers when i was like 3 on a zx81
The built-in jigsaw or 15 puzzle on Mac OS 7 on dad's PowerBook 140, I'm pretty sure.
Astroids or snake.
Looks like I found my Golf game. World Class Leader Board except we didn't have speakers or full 16bit graphics capability. The interface looks right though as does the default course cypress creek. The course editor screen clinches it.
hmm... on PC I think it was DragonEgg (a really cool text adventure).
