Yes, it needs to have Doom.
Not the new one coming out, the one from the 90s, complete with the Brutal Doom mod.
Because if GOG Galaxy should have a multiplayer FPS associated with it, it should be a damn good one.
I don't know but I have a crazy idea.

What if Arma 2 get Galaxy support? xD
I'd certainly support a FPS with a good single player campaign, extensive mod tools, good MP with LAN support and online play through Galaxy.

trentonlf: No desire or interest for a fps on GOG Galaxy, too many crazy people would show up and ruin it
Excuse me for saying, but thats one of the most pessimist sentences ive heard in while :)

Personally i am hoping galaxy will have some sort of virtual LAN thing - but we'll see eventually.

The pessimism comes from playing online fps games, way too many people that make it no fun. Now doing LAN with friends would be cool, but wide open for anyone is a road I hope GOG does not go down.

Welcome to the internet age.

Youre totally free to play with just friends, make/rent your own servers or to stick with just LAN - but i cannot see how removing the ability to have open public servers on any game would be improvement.

If you dont enjoy something - stay away from it: Whats the haste to remove the chance from those who actually enjoy public games?

Once GOG opens the door to a wide open multiplayer experience, if it's successful I should say, then this site will be over run by assholes playing online and flooding the forums with negativity. If you know of a way to prevent that then I would be a supporter. Granted not everyone will be jerks, but there will be enough that all I would do is buy games from this site and avoid the forums if it came to be as I fear. This is just my opinion it.

I do! :) The ability for GOG users to create their own Forums/Groups/whatever and own moderation rights to it, decide if they are wide open to the public with or without subscription, and what the various security/privacy settings, rules etc. are, with the ability to ban/block people who do not abide by the rules. More or less like any modern communication software has (mailing list management, IRC even and it's decades old, Facebook groups, Steam groups, etc.) Software definitely can solve the problem. The existing software here just does not do that.
Don't know about you guys but Postal 2 FPS Death Match is about the funnest thing i have ever experienced!

plus the Unreal Tournaments and the XMP Multiplayer mod for U2 (which is UT2k4 sort of) is fantastic.. i still prefer the XMP over many other games...

Duke and Blood are beyond amazing FPS games in Deathmatch/CTF Blood reigns supreme in CTF for the fort level alone.

Blood 2 is spectacular, and we have that call of duty world war something FPS... there are a ton of options.
