Will GOG Galaxy have system requirements of the games in our library or will we have to go online for that information?

ssokolow: DOSBox supports taking multiple -conf options so having the Galaxy client matchmake DOSBox games should be as simple as generating a config file like this...

Arkose: I'm not saying it couldn't be done but rather I wouldn't expect it at launch; the announcement topic specifically mentions multiplayer with Steam users indicating the focus will be on modern games.
This is probably in no small part because their new game is GOG + Steam cross-play at the moment (and from the sound of it only those 2?).

Most of the online gaming clients are web technology based. Even though that level of detail has not been released for GOG Galaxy, I think it's reasonable to assume that they will do something similar as it is a very flexible way of creating and reusing content, so whatever is visible on the game cards on the website will probably be visible in-client as well. We can only speculate for now though until they release the client or provide higher level of detail about what is to come (which I'm sure they'll do more and more over time as well).

Fallen_Zen: It will install and update games, you'll have access to your games library from the Client (so no need to schedule downloads from the website like it is right now with the Downloader). Yes, it will replace the GOG Downloader, we don't want 2 optional clients, right?
I for one really like using the downloader and wouldn't want to see it go just yet. The Downloader is very good and keeping things organized for offline installation. Will galaxy offer that as well. Offline DRM free easy to organized files for installation and organizing.

Can't promise anything right now, not everything is finalised yet. We'll do our best to make everyone happy.

Magmarock is right, if the Galaxy client won't save the installers themselves for later offline installation, but only install the games directly, Steam-style, then it is not a viable replacement for the downloader. It would also be a very bad signal to send to your customers after you've kept insisting that the client is optional.
