notpayingforgame: How will this work with non-bought GoG content? I buy GoG games, but I also give Mac versions of the setup programs to my dad so he can play too, and I've pirated a few GoG games that I wasn't sure of the purchase on. But, will people that pirate a game be able to play it online through Galaxy without issue, or will that be locked off? If you try and play a game that you don't own online through Galaxy, will it lock the game down?
Pirating gog games is like .... shitting where you (edit : we) eat you know ? I commend you for being honest about that, but just don't ever pirate a gog version of a game please. I seriously don't care much if you pirate games .... just not a gog version.

edit : sorry for bad language, swiss pirates can facehook me in reparation.

Presumably it works like the downloader if it's running in the background, polling periodically for updates, or working like a web browser (like other game clients) for when you're using the chat/social features or other stuff.

Gog if your doing this galaxy thing great, but please keep it to the basics.and don't make it into something bloated like steam client.lot of it is unnecessary.

This is why I'd like to see official API support for third party clients (see this thread: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/third_party_clients).

That way, whatever they do with Galaxy, the community could create more options for those that want a client to do only a few things.

Can someone please briefly explain what Galaxy is? I'm guessing they talked about it on the stream, but I couldn't watch it because of slow internet speed :/
