It must be a movie that you really like, but many people around think that it is B.S.

My choice: "No escape" (the one with Ray Liotta). One of the mosy funny (and absurd) adventure/action movies from the 90´s, with one of the most charismatic villians, it have also a great OST.

Angel Heart.

Mickey Rourke stars.

Wierd film in lots of ways, but I love it.
Jay and silent Bob strike back.
End of Days.
I would say Braindead. But the bit in parenthesis makes me uncomfortable doing so. But nonetheless there are some crazy fools who can't appreciate its finer qualities.

Good taste! I loved Angel Heart. I used to have the first edition of the book it's based on, Falling Angel by William Hjortsberg, but it got stolen from me a couple of years back. It had an awesome cover, too.

As for my film, I'll go with Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters. Mishima is by far my favorite author, and this film does him so much more justice than the printed biographies. Even ignoring the subject matter, the presentation of the whole film was just excellent. Rather than a dry documentary, it's a piece of art in its own right (Not to mention the soundtrack itself).

A close second would be the original Wicker Man (My family hated it).

Most people around you think that Robocop is Bull Shit? Your friends are really weird (weird for the gamer buddies standards:-) )

Repo: The Genetic Opera.
Oh, I forgot to mention some Wong Kar Wai movies, and specifically "In the mood for love". Nobody that I know gives a damn about these movies.
Equilibrium. Though the hate is not universal, I've seen people bashing it.

I'd also say Battle for Terra, though I don't really know anyone who has seen it besides me and my GF.
The Wickerman (original 70's version)
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy.

Seriously. Well, not exactly BS, but "meh", yea.
walk hard.....watching it now. very funny movie
