jlg6184: Red Dawn

Some of you may think "Hey, that's not 'B.S'!" but most of the people I know either haven't seen it or thought it was just crap. Hell, the reviews at IMDB have it at like 5.9. Probably in my top ten favorite movies though, regardless of what everyone else thinks.
"People wakin' up with their throats cut
The only love I have for Red Dawn is ironic. But I also love all three Matrix films, so I have somewhat questionable tastes.

nmillar: Repo: The Genetic Opera.
seconded, this movie is hillarious :)

I love the fact that Ogre (Skinny Puppy, Ministry, KMFDM) is cast alongside Paris Hilton!

Hesusio: Waterworld. I guess I never bought into the initial hype, so I never expected any more then a typical blow-shit-up action movie. As such, I can't bring myself to hate it.
I didn't care about the hype, but some of the completely brain dead things that went on in that movie pretty much ruined it for me. The opening scene alone was so devoid of common sense that I couldn't take it seriously after that.
Grosse Point Blank is probably my favourite movie, yet I don't know a single one of my friends who has ever seen it.

For that great B-Movie feel, it's pretty hard to beat Tremors. I think I've watched that film on TV about ten times now.

For me it was in first place Anthony Head, loved him as the Prime Minister in Little Britain and then this role... just great :)
Evil Dead trilogy, any of the really. Also Black Sheep... that one is just so wrong it is awesome :P
The Matrix Reloaded (2 of 3)

Agent Smith: "More!"

:)
Rollerball.

You were expecting common sense from a movie of this particular genre? Why?

TheT3: Rollerball.
which one? the original or the new one?

crazy_dave: Mine: I was going to put Conan the Barbarian (1972) but that doesn't get bad ratings on IMDB/rottentomatoes ... nor does Rock Horror Picture Show ... I'll have to get back to you guys on something that really fits the criteria. I'll trawl the bottom of the barrel to see if there is something that I like in there and not already mentioned. :) However, those two definitely fall into campy fun.
Down Periscope ... stupid, but fun and not particularly popular.
avatar
JudasIscariot: Hot Fuzz
hmph ... I loved it ... gets great reviews both critics and movie goers, maybe not in Poland?

Lobsang1979: Grosse Point Blank is probably my favourite movie, yet I don't know a single one of my friends who has ever seen it.
I've seen it. It was good.
avatar
Ralackk: Does anyone else like demolition man? because I love that movie.
avatar
Wishbone: So do I.

As for my own guilty pleasures... Well, I have many, but the one fitting best here is probably The Breakfast Club.
Demolition man was ridiculous over-the-top and knew it, so I guess that qualifies as a success. :)

I like Breakfast Club too.

The original. Didn't even make the effort to see the re-make. From what I can tell, I'd be wasting my valuable time.

One of my favs, that and High FIdelity make a great double bill.

I wa going to go for Big Trouble in Little China as my movie but I will put a vote down for Streets of Fire (A rock and roll fable heh) , the mix of noir, 50s mixed with 80s style, amazing soundtrack and sledgehammer fight! stuck with me since childhood.
