reaver894: Hmmm Blazing Saddles, if thats not good enough then the Hot Shots films.
really these are reviled by the people around you? ... huh ... I suppose Blazing Saddles is an acquired taste.

CymTyr: What Dreams May Come.
I actually like this one too.

MGShogun: Can't Hardly Wait.
I sort of have a soft-spot for this one too.

Mine: I was going to put Conan the Barbarian (1972) but that doesn't get bad ratings on IMDB/rottentomatoes ... nor does Rock Horror Picture Show ... I'll have to get back to you guys on something that really fits the criteria. I'll trawl the bottom of the barrel to see if there is something that I like in there and not already mentioned. :) However, those two definitely fall into campy fun.

EDIT: Found one ... see post.

tejozaszaszas: It must be a movie that you really like, but many people around think that it is B.S.

My choice: "No escape" (the one with Ray Liotta). One of the mosy funny (and absurd) adventure/action movies from the 90´s, with one of the most charismatic villians, it have also a great OST.
I loved that movie, myself, so you're not alone.

I'd probably pick Star Trek V. I totally love Sybok.
Arena - it's about mma fighting in the future against aliens and robots
Robot Jox - epic robot arena style fighting ^_^
Police Academy!
Hot Fuzz
Does anyone else like demolition man? because I love that movie.

Dragobr: Equilibrium. Though the hate is not universal, I've seen people bashing it.

I'd also say Battle for Terra, though I don't really know anyone who has seen it besides me and my GF.
Battle for terra was amazingly lacking, broken piece of work. 'twas fun thou.
Red Dawn

Some of you may think "Hey, that's not 'B.S'!" but most of the people I know either haven't seen it or thought it was just crap. Hell, the reviews at IMDB have it at like 5.9. Probably in my top ten favorite movies though, regardless of what everyone else thinks.

So do I.

As for my own guilty pleasures... Well, I have many, but the one fitting best here is probably The Breakfast Club.
For a movie I currently have access to, 2012 (and pretty much any other "summer blockbuster" they make great background noise for work and every one claims to hate them when secretly they all enjoyed them enough to actually go see them and make them that "summer blockbuster" in the first place).

For a movie I no longer have access to and am trying to find a replacement of... Tiger on the Beat. The whole chainsaw "sword" fight at the end is brilliant as is the movie in general. Chow Yun Fat at his best before he turned to Hollywood.

If anyone knows where I can get a copy of that on DVD for a reasonable price, not including Ebay or similar) let me know.
Highway 61. A lot of people dislike Canadian cinema for reasons I can't understand. Here is an adorable scene of Satan purchasing a little girl's soul: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7BJKMg_RgI

Vagabond: Revenge of the Nerds.
There is a funny thing about that movie. In spanish we (I use we, but spanish is not my mother tongue) don´t have a word equivalent to nerd, so the movie title was translated as "la rebelión de los novatos" (revenge of the "novices").
Absurd.

there are a lot of really weird picks here. Or maybe I just have really bad taste in friends and movies.
People think Robocop, Wrath of Khanm Walk Hard, Revenge of the Nerds, Blazing Saddles, LotR trilogy and Hot Shots are BS?

Waterworld. I guess I never bought into the initial hype, so I never expected any more then a typical blow-shit-up action movie. As such, I can't bring myself to hate it.
