Srice n' shoot!

Shadow Warrior Complete, the legendary over-the-top FPS starring Lo Wang, the ultimate Asian badass, is now available on GOG.com for only $5.99!

There is the way of the sword, the way of the fist, the way of the sub-machine gun, and the way of the sticky bomb. But there's also the way of Lo Wang, that combines them all. It also adds a bit from the path of ass-kicking and gets much inspiration from the driveway of dukedom. To define the way of Lo Wang in layman's terms, it's a Fu Manchu Kung Pao tao ninja tofu Beijing kung fu teriyaki Tokyo ramen kawaii Gangnam hentai sushi katana usagi shuriken miso samurai fighting style, but it differs from the traditional Fu Manchu Kung Pao tao ninja tofu Beijing kung fu teriyaki Tokyo ramen kawaii Gangnam hentai sushi katana usagi shuriken miso samurai fighting style in that it embraces the gift of rail-gun.

Shadow Warrior Complete feels like a mix of Duke Nukem 3D with every bad kung fu movie ever made. Lo Wang is just as much outspoken as the Duke, and the humor here is even more tongue-in-cheek. The game is brutal and bloody, maybe even more than Duke's adventures, thanks to the use of katanas. The story of revenge over the Zilla Corporation takes us through 22 creative maps crafted in 3D Realms' updated Build engine. The Twin Dragon expansion adds another 13 levels and the elusive Wanton Destruction map-pack brings in 12 further arenas of mayhem. You get all that, and a soundtrack, in our Shadow Warrior Complete pack!

Are you ready for some badassery, blood, guts, and racial stereotypes? In other words: who wants some Lo Wang? Grab Shadow Warrior Complete, for only $5.99!

Sargon: Thanks for your recommendation. I really like Doom 1\Doom 2\Final Doom still but it is more then a decade since I played any new Wads. I remember Alien Doom as particularly impressive but I can imagine that Wads have come far since then.

I will check out your recommendation at a later time.I already have Zdoom so I'm all set to go!
More than 10 years? You will be impressed.

Other releases from my "Favorites" folder, for those interested (in the past years I played only through maybe 15 - 20 % of everything that is available):

Cheogsh;
Doomsday of UAC;
Eternal DOOM IV (Espi's map);
HeDRoX;
IC2004;
Kill the Cybie;
Knee-Deep in ZDoom*;
Null Space;
RTC-3057 - Blue Hub;
Ruma;
Stronghold - On the Edge of Chaos*;
The Brotherhood of Ruin;
The Ultimate Torment & Torture*;
Total Control;
Tunnel Run;
Vrack 2.

* Only briefly played, but with lots of potential.

These should keep you busy for a while... :)

Some that I recall as flawed from my viewpoint (mostly because of sections that can be brutally difficult even on 2nd or 3rd difficulty level), but worth trying:

Void;
Cheogsh 2;
Deus Vult;
Alien Vendetta.

Probably some will like these thoroughly. I always prefer cautious progress in an attempt never to die, which for me builds suspense up to the maximum.

Why do I mention all this? Because out of all the classic shooters, first two DooM games are the best value for money. They have the largest fan base and new playable content is constantly developed because they are so easily moddable. The amount of at least decent quality custom content is, if you don't know what to expect, simply overwhelming.
I had forgotten how much I suck at this game
Perfect.
Very tempted to get this, but probably should play Sacrifice...looks over at Sacrifice....looks over shoulder for Licburg...well...I said I'd get Sacrifice, I didn't say I'd play it....

Yeah, instabuy :)
It's been so many years since I had played this.

I never managed to get far as I was very young :(
Wohoo! About time! paypal here I come!
This is an awesome release.
I remember receiving this as a gift from a friend when I was in 5th grade.
My mom ended up taking it from me, because of its violence.
Now is my chance to get it back dammit.
Agh! I was going to insta-buy this but as it happens I don't have enough credit in my debit card! Ugh, now I need to wait until monday! Nnnnngggggaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!
True masterpiece! He's EVEN better than his pal, Duke Nukem.

Fantastic. Gorgeous. Thank you so much for releasing SW.

Whooooooooo wants some Wang!!!

Loved this so much and it's full of humour.
Immediately downloaded.
I mean I own most of these old games as retail versions and they are stored safely in the basement. Don't know how long the CDs will last until they are finished.

Yeah, instabuy :)
Who's Licburg? heh
FUCK YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

Thanks for this release, GOG. I loved playing this game, way way way underrated, it deserves more praise.

As any game it has its flaws, like Half-Life in the Xen jumping sections, there are a few jumping involved in Shadow Warrior. The levels are very fun, you can play it ninja-style or just speed run the levels as you wish. I recommend SW if you want to have some old school fun in an FPS. :-)
Amazing gem of a game.....i'm amazed and happy GOG finally got it(Oddly enough I got an itch to play this game again about a week or so before GOG released it. I've been playing my old cd copy with SWP since then[Had to manually extract the .grp files from the cd as the old cd won't install in 64-bit.].). I'm probably going to buy a GOG copy for backup purposes/to show some more love to 3D Realms(One of my first gaming company "loves", along with others like Westwood/Apogee/[Old pre-ActiBlizz]Blizzard/etc.) when I get time(and and money, of course), even though my current copy still works pretty well.

Again, kudos to you GOG for getting such an amazing little FPS gem onto the site. I hope this is an indication of many more (pleasant) future surprises to come. :)
