PMIK: Has anyone ever told you, "thanks for maintaing this thread" and "you are awesome!" I use it as my one stop-shop for kickstarter.

And what's the deal with your new avatar? What game is that from?
Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams. You can thank me by buying it (and Defender's Quest) cuz it's awesome :D

Coincidentally, Giana Sisters: TD was a Kickstarter project success story

I really enjoyed the Defender's quest demo and I'll probably get it some time time. Giana Sisters looks great, however, I'm generally crap with platformers and find them to be intensely frustrating. Would giana sisters fit in that category too or is it a bit more forgiving?

That's why I ended pledging only a token $1. I can't see myself really getting into that game.
A new project:

THORVALLA an RPG by Guido Henkel, from the producer of the Realms of Arkania and Planescape Torment, they're asking 1M

Thanks for the tip! *in the middle of reading* Man, I really have to do something about the compulsion to back everything a second it mentions PS:T. After all, Dreamfall "Please, take all my money" Chapters is coming :P.

Will the game be DRM-free?

Of course. Isn’t it a shame this question even has to come up?

Sounds interesting, but it's apparently much more inspired by Realms of Arkania than by Planescape: Torment, given the emphasis on non-linearity and the world map events.

It needs more details about the gameplay before I'm ready to pledge, anyway.
The tiers are also rather high, 40$ for the soundtrack, 75$ for the strategy guide or 100$ for beta access seems a bit ridiculous.

Star Citizen is almost at 6 million! What an amazing response. The site died for me, I guess it's being hammered by too many people who want to throw their money at the screen. The Kickstarter is continuing to rise quickly. I imagine that if the site worked better they could hit $7m. :) Two more hours, how high can it go?
Gotta say no to Thorvalla as I'm not a huge fan of Realms of Arkania games. And yes, Star Citizen is doing amazingly well. As I've said previously, it's propably a prime example of how a good sales pitch should be done and it really is showing in the end results, as majority of the money is coming staright through Robert's RSI site, not Kickstarter.

It's broken $6,000,000 with an hour to go. This is incredible!
