stg83: Nope, I really like Watchmen and Man of Steel. It was only this movie that has made me realize that Snyder just doesn't care about proper character or story arcs and is only interested in playing things up for shock value. I did like parts of Batman v Superman as well, that is the problem because in terms of individual scenes there are some great things in it, but overall it is a disappointment.

I really wish now that we could have seen George Miller's version of Justice League, which ironically I was actually glad at the time for not really coming together.

Breja: I'd say that, while Watchmen and Man of Steele were better movies, BvS was much better when it comes to having a character arc. I guess I was unfair to you, but still it doesn't look like we can agree on much about this movie (other than the cartoonishly bad Luthor).

At least we can mourn Miller's Justice League together. I was always unhappy with it not being made. And still I'd rather Justice League be given to Miller, while Snyder works on the next solo Superman movie.

Emob78: You all still on about this train wreck?

Breja: You still trolling about a movie you haven't seen and a genre you don't like instead of doing anything else with your life?
Yes. That would be a correct assertion.

So... you guys looking forward to Aqua-man?

Of course! I've been a fan ever since his old show
Just saw it for the first time. I loved it!

he's not trolling he honestly believes it a little. they fucking think they're brilliant these days.

the doubt will come. the crushing realization.

Affleck's solo Batman movie is official now. And I could not be happier. Affleck's Batman/Wayne was great in BvS, as was Irons' Alfred and their interaction. I would feel robbed if they didn't get a movie of their own. Also it's the first time the actor portraying Batman will aslo be directing the movie. I'm really curious how it will turn out.

I think that in one way BvS is definately a huge success - even among people who didn't like the movie, a vast majority admits that Affleck, Irons and Gal Gadot did a great job, and people want to see more of them. Despite the poor reviews and mixed audience reaction, it seems to have generated a lot of anticipation for upcoming DC movies. Especially the fact that it sold people on Wonder Woman is a success. And as one of the people who really liked BvS I'm really happy we'll be getting those movies, and pretty soon.

I just want my Zack Snyder level of action in my Justice League movie. Because I want to see shit get rekt.

The team up with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman against Doomsday in BvS:

Fuckin hype. Now imagine that with the whole Justice League team against Darkseid and his minons.

I very much hope it will be more than that.

Already done in the last episode of Justice League Unlimited, although it was actually every Earth based hero and villain vs Darkseid and co, with Superman, Batman and Luthor leading.

Just hope future movies double check what each character can do. Superman should have given the spear to Batman, then go for Doomsday and tell WW to get the kryptonite while he distracted Doomsday.

Also, do people in the USA refer to their parents by their first name when mentioning them?

About Batfleck, while it was no surprise he was good being aware of Affleck's career the last 5 years or so, don't know how well that characterization would work repeatedly. Even on DKR Batman made a point of never killing, but this one has no qualms about it even when it seemed non lethal takedowns would work well enough. Was halfexpecting to see the combo counter from Arkham games too, felt a lot like the mass battles there. In the good sense.

I'm guessing we're going to see a "prequel" of sorts where we get to see what happened to Affleck's Batman that turned him into Murderman (or at the very least, the semi-retired Batman) we see in BvS...likely a very loose adaptation of Death in the Family/Killing Joke where Jared Leto's Joker fucks up Robin and/or Batgirl.

The only negative thing I can say about a Baffleck movie at this point is that it's a shame it's coming after BvS, when it really should have come before it, IMO.

Like I said before, it bothered me a little too, but I always remind myself when that comes up, that Burton had Batman shove a bomb down a dude's pants and smile about it (among other things) and yet the fans cheerfully let him get away with that. So I'm cutting Snyder some slack. Still, I hope the Justice Leagu (and the solo movie) Batman is not so trigger happy.
I think a more focused story on batman would do wonders, it would fix a lot of the issues with batman vs. superman being too large and unweildy I think. Not that I minded. It's mostly just a shame it's not before Justice League.
